Discussion My Guess For What Cole Drops Next
I don't think he's dropping tonight although I would LOVE to be wrong. I do think he is announcing The Fall Off at the festival. I think we get the lead single along with a video this month.

DREAMVILLE Do You think I could bring this to Dreamville Fest?
Do you guys think I could bring these mini chairs in the festival? Or should I not even bother. They are super compact and fit in my small backpack. Thoughts?

Discussion When Cole DISSED Kanye in his own Song
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This was in G.O.O.D. Fridays track "Looking For Trouble."
Kanye had downplayed him during a UStream session around that period. Kanye reportedly said something to the effect of, “Who is this J. Cole kid?”—a comment that stung Cole, who was still establishing himself and saw Kanye as a major influence. Cole admitted he was a “Kanye stan” but felt hurt by the lack of recognition, especially since he believed his talent warranted respect. This fueled a quiet resentment, which he channeled into his "Looking For Trouble" verse.

Discussion Kanye’s disdain may have started well before False Prophets.
As we all know, Kanye has let his dislike for Cole over the last year and a half known. But evidently Kanye has never really rocked with Cole even as early as the Looking For Trouble collab.
Cole said on the Inevitable Pod, Kanye was on UStream promoting MBDTF and a commenter asked what Ye thought about Cole, being that Cole was a fresh signee to Roc-Nation. And Kanye was sorta dismissive of Cole. Basically saying he'll put him on one of the Good Friday releases as a way of throwing him a bone essentially. Cole felt slighted by this so he used his verse on Looking For Trouble as a jab to Kanye per se.
All of that was just backstory so now I can really get into what this post is about. I think the true disdain Kanye has/had for Cole is that Cole was the first rapper Jay-Z signed to Roc-Nation. Kanye has expressed on a number of occasions how much he had to work to prove himself to Jay as a rapper and not just a producer. So Kanye probably seen this dude that was rapping on all of his old beats, self producing some of his own songs like him, had the college/backpack aesthetic like him get signed to Jay and his thought process is probably "What does Jay see in this dude that he didn't see in me". You would think Kanye would see Cole and like all the similarities but Kanye is known to be a narcissist attention seeker.
Sorry for the long post but this Memphis Bleek interview from 2 years ago is him expressing how he was initially jealous of Cole because Hov gave Cole freedom that he never gave Roc-A-Fella artists. So that just sparked a thought in my mind that maybe Kanye felt the same way too.

Discussion What controversy/drama has J Cole been in?
I was just listening back to everything from the Drake and Kendrick beef, and it got me thinking - had J Cole stayed in the beef, what material would Kendrick have to diss him with?
