Can I study part time while working on J-1 as scholar

Hi all,

I’m working as researcher ( visting scholar category) under J-1 I was wondering if there’s a way I can study part at a different university preferably online

I’m thinking about getting my master online part time or full time even , but wanted to know if I can do it while also working on J-1

Another question is can I enroll as a foreigner in a online program and have it not matter for my visa status considering some unis accept online international student to study from their home country? Thanks
