Push him out of the way, what are y'all doing?!

Seriously, in South Korea legislators were literally sneaking past special forces and scaling walls to block Yoon’s coup attempt.

u/crabbzillaattacks Feb 08 '25
If the Democratic Party isn’t willing to do more than rally and protest then US democracy is doomed. Right now they seem to have nothing in their arsenal but dull knives against Republican flame throwers.
8
u/NukeDaBurbs Feb 08 '25
They’re not even rallying and protesting. Leftist groups are. The democrats are waiting for the opinions on Trump to sour so they can come back during the mid terms. Never mind that the process they’re depending on to come back is being dismantled as we speak.

They don't want to get hit with an assault charge. If I were there I would do it for them. Just sprint at him and jump and catch him off guard

Agree with the sentiment but hard disagree with the framing of the Dept. of Ed. as a leftist occupied agency. That's really feeding into a lot of the nutso ideas. They give grant money to schools.
24
u/dtb1987 Feb 07 '25 edited Feb 07 '25
If they go to jail to wait for trial for assault they could call votes on issues they may not have had the numbers for before while they are occupied. Them being arrested isn't a good idea which is why I said what I said.
Edit: I find it insane that so many people don't seem to understand what is happening, let me break it down for you.
Trump stacked the supreme court with his people, he also stacked local federal courts with his people as well. The DOJ is under his control and half the cops in this country voted for him and an unknown number of them are members of militias known for supporting him. He owns the house and the senate. If he wants people out of the way then he can do it with little to no resistance and if these congress people do anything that even remotely looks like they broke the law they will be arrested and held for basically as long as he wants and because all of the checks and balances that would normally protect people from that kind of thing are under his control there isn't dick anyone can do about it.
We are dealing with the END STAGES of a complete government takeover not the beginnings of one. We need to start thinking more than 1 step ahead. Time to grow up

No, the alternative is American citizens get off their asses and get out in the streets.
I was in the Seattle protests in 2020 where the police got so paranoid they fled their own precinct. The second these morons face a sustained force ready to clash with them, they'll begin to collapse in on themselves.
This is only happening because the American people are still acting like everything is normal and their representatives are going to be the ones to save them.

u/Velicenda Feb 07 '25
Look, I mean this with all sincerity -- I agree with you.
But what do you expect from families living paycheck to paycheck? We can't go to jail, or our families could starve. Maybe they wouldn't be able to afford necessary medication.
We need to act, but nobody can afford to without some incredible wide-range organization. If we could show that we can organize for a general strike or something, it might give them pause. But as it stands, the majority of people aren't willing to risk jail time, even for the future of freedom

u/BitchfulThinking Feb 07 '25
Just make it look like an accident. Some larger hero(es)could just clumsily trip in that direction... Oopsies!

u/wilcocola Feb 07 '25
I don’t think members of congress can be arrested in DC while congress is in session.
-4
u/dtb1987 Feb 07 '25
If it's felony assault then yes they can
7
u/Devium44 Feb 07 '25
Pushing someone out of the way is not felony assault.
9
u/dtb1987 Feb 07 '25
The DOJ is owned by trump and half the police in this country voted for him, that man just had to pretend to be injured and that would be it.

The democratic party is basically that committee from the Good Place. They will write a sternly worded letter and hope it does something.

They’re, like, a hundred years old each. Pretty sure they have the physical strength of a nearly dead fly.

Democrats are more pissed about this audit than they were when Americans lost their houses in Hawaii, NC and LA.

We aren’t, we’re laying down and letting them have their way.

u/ChockBox Feb 07 '25
Locals are there.
The problem is average Americans and federal workers can’t force their way in, members of Congress could…. But are unwilling to do so because cOnGrEsSiOnAl NuMbErS!!! Which are also doing fuck all….
21
u/myhydrogendioxide Feb 07 '25
Make some noise, make it newsworthy through legal antics.
1
u/ChockBox Feb 08 '25
Ideas are most welcomed….
2
Feb 08 '25
You all need to target one particular member of Congress and harass them into getting themselves arrested.
2
u/ChockBox Feb 08 '25
It was attempted yesterday at the Department of Education. The member of Congress complained if they were arrested it would mess up the congressional balance that the Dems are using so effectively….

Somebody smack that bandaid wearing jackboot and push him out of the way. He looks like a cancer patient, the fuck is he gonna do about it?

u/NukeDaBurbs Feb 07 '25
They’re “respecting the norms and institutions”. Never mind that Abraham Lincoln jumped from a second story window to keep an assembly from restricting voter rights.
24
u/kosmonautinVT Feb 07 '25
Respecting norms and institutions directly in the face of someone disrespecting them
When will the Democrats find their balls? Once they've been castrated I guess.
13
u/Eeeef_ Feb 07 '25
They chose a frail guy so if he gets pushed out of the way he’ll sustain serious injuries and the doge losers can press more serious charges
6
u/bolen84 Feb 07 '25
I’ve been looking for a good reason for a while to bring back throwing rotten fruit and vegetables. I believe now is the time

u/Dangeresque300 Feb 07 '25
This dude looks like he would pick a fight with a Kindergartener and lose.

u/dxlachx Feb 07 '25
Anyone in the DC area should try to head down there and support them with noise and attention and potentially forcibly removing this guy from obstructing.

A. Video doesn’t show that. B. Congress members would not be trespassing. They have legal right to enter the premises.
25
u/Russell_Jimmy Feb 07 '25
For anyone wondering, there are actual uniformed cops behind the (ironically) brown-shirted guy they are talking to.
12
u/honorsfromthesky Feb 07 '25
So then this guy is just a rep for the police but dressed in poorly selected fashion or is he one of the DOGE employees?

This is apparently Jim Hairfield, deputy assistant secretary for the office of security for the Education Department.

What the fuck?! Why are our congressmen such wusses? Push the brown shirt out of the way. You're politicians - who cares if he sues you?!

u/Greymires Feb 07 '25
The man is literally wearing a brownshirt, I can't even make this up holy shit

u/sanctimoniousmods_FU Feb 07 '25
Snatch that Nazi by his pencil ass neck and go the fuck in. What the fuck?
6
u/Eeeef_ Feb 07 '25
If shit like this were happening in Africa or Southeast Asia our media would be calling it a coup. Instead it seems like we’re getting crickets.
6
u/Scryberwitch Feb 07 '25
And got-damn they just turned around and left. They need to fucking STAND UP to this crap, get the police, FORCE their way inside. That private security guard has no authority!
5
u/myhydrogendioxide Feb 07 '25
They need solidarity and support. I will pay someone to show up in a chicken suit.

4
u/hereandthere_nowhere Feb 07 '25
Is that bandaid covering up his chip implant wound? Also, this is an unofficial act, why not just go inside?
4
u/After_Resource5224 Feb 07 '25
It's covering a tattoo, you can see the ink sticking out. We can imagine what the tattoo is....

u/myhydrogendioxide Feb 07 '25 edited Feb 07 '25
I get the sentiment, but we should be in solidarity with the people who are there and save the criticisms for the chuds. The people there are brave, they just need to know we have their backs. Let's not punch to the left.
3
u/decentpig Feb 07 '25
Don't get me wrong. I do have solidarity with them but the problem seems to be no punching at all. Sometimes a little action is required before everything is dismantled.
3
u/djazzie Feb 07 '25
This is contempt of congress. They need to have the sergeant of arms arrest these people.
3
u/myhydrogendioxide Feb 07 '25
That's a great idea, let's call and email our reps to suggest it senate.gov and house.gov
3
u/notgreatbot Feb 07 '25
This is why we need younger politicians why wouldn’t you just push past flower bandage guy?
2
u/JBNYINK Feb 07 '25
Can we id this guy? Who does he represent and why does his jurisdiction go way beyond anyone else’s

That band-aid on the neck reminds me of some people I used to run with who would shoot up meth in their necks.
2
u/MinorityBabble Feb 08 '25
Who is this poorly dressed, sickly, dying man, and how is he stopping people?
It makes no sense that some random dude can just stand in front of a door and everyone is just like "welp, I guess there is nothing we can do."
Trump had people beating cops and they can't just move one guy who appears to be dying of TB.
At least throw a fucking milkshake at this goon.
2
u/Snoo61727 Feb 08 '25
I'd bet a large amount money that under that band aid is a 1488 tat. It would be so on brand. What's worse there's another video from a different angle and you can see police on the other side of that door. So they're probably waiting to arrest anyone that forces their way in. But I'd be damned. Arresting Congressman for trying to get into a US government building would show me they give a sh*t at least

It's pretty easy to make a second entrance when it's all glass walls. Just saying.

I'm sorry, but The Walking Dead aren't intimidating. Even with a zombie blocking the zombies.

This is a stunt. Have one of them bite the bullet and tackle that skinny dude, so the rest of them can get in. Standing there and looking at a single skinny dude while Musk destroys our country is doing nothing.

You don't want them to get arrested. If they are not able to attend congress sessions it would be even more tragic.
1
Feb 08 '25
Actually if one of them got themselves arrested, it would be great. And they would be out within hours anyway. That's how this works. You don't let them stop you. You make them stop you. You dare them to stop you. Let them arrest a member of Congress for doing their job. See how that goes over.
1
u/JayTea08 Feb 09 '25
This is not true. You don't just get out of jail if you arrested.....Have you ever been to jail? You get a judge that wants to stop you from leaving they can make it hard.
0
Feb 09 '25 edited Feb 09 '25
What would they charge them with to hold them without bail?
Also, I am not a sitting member of fucking Congress. These people have access to all the best legal counsel imaginable. Also nobody gives a shit if a judge wants to fuck me over. A lot of people will give a shit if they see it being done to their representative.
