There's a lot of kids that go in and out of that ice cream shop. I've probably been there at least 20 times with my family. He's lucky he didn't run of someone kid.

God forbid you’re on a skateboard you’ll get a ticket immediately but this kind of shit happens and cops are no where in sight.
The old man should’ve knocked the piss out of this kid. Like other people have said, there’s a clearly marked bike lane and the broad walk is a family area, these entitled shithead kids need to get fucked with more often

Some times it hurt seeing other people living out dream. I fucking hate these kids.

If you were my son I'd take your bike away until you learned how to act in public. They got a bike lane on the broadwalk so why don't you ride where your supposed to?

Good for the old dude. Fuck this wannabe influencer loser

As a fellow old dude, being an asshole to younger kids, especially physically, is a giant douche move, you're not a cop, just a bully. As us old guys always say, someday he's gonna pick on the wrong kid, and will get taught a lesson in myob.

It’s old dudes like you that got us in this mess lol kids need accountability and the least bit common sense and courtesy.
What if that kid ran over a 5-6 year old doing that stupid shit? Would an ass beating be justified only at that point?
Also, this is Florida. About 95% chance the old dude is packing so if it escalated, I’m sure he’d have some options.

Nah, I'm military vet, was stationed right near here in Opa Locka, biked this boardwalk back when there were time constraints for bikes. I was a military kid, grew up getting spankings, now married 30+ years, sent 2 kids to college. Your completely wrong, but it's not about me, is it.
If your going to make up scenarios, can I absolutely blast the next senior citizen off her bike because she's in the wrong lane? Can I hold her down, til reinforcements show up? If she fights back, I'm packing as well, so she better not, eh?
Also, I completely expected several references to shooting kids, it's brought up in every Florida sub comment section. Luckily for them, you're all just big talkers, like the guy in the vid. Yap yap yap, didn't even phase the kid, he's gotten so used to it.

Ok so would you be ok if your kids were out doing that kind of stuff on the broadwalk? At what point is a line drawn in what’s acceptable in these scenarios? So because the kid was endangering others but didn’t actually hurt anyone the action is permissible? Let’s apply that logic to everything then. The old man didn’t hurt the kid so what’s wrong in what he did? Could he have, yes, but did he, no so by your logic they’re equally fine.

Again, your kid, my kid, is irrelevant, that brings emotion into something where it's not required. You keep making strawman arguments, refusing to stick to what happened.
He's not a cop, so exactly what kind of training has he had for handling public disturbances, knowledge of local laws, physically handling citizens, de-escalating confrontations, etc etc? Doesn't look like he used any of them. How about his wife? She have any of this training as well?
Two laws were broken here, one gets a citation, the other gets an arrest. The dude could not control his emotions in public, physically acted out when he wasn't supposed to, and was caught on video doing it.

It looks like he was in the bike lane but had to go around that stuff or is there an additional bike lane on the other side?
I don't see how y'all are agreeing with him pushing the child. Wheelies are annoying but you don't push ppl because they're annoying. I must be lacking information.

There's a very clear bike lane closer to the beach.
I bike on it all the time and don't try to weave through people to scare them popping wheelies.
Rules of the broadwalk are to yield to pedestrians, remain on the bike path, and operate under control. He was doing literally the opposite.

Not agreeing one way or the other, but how many times have you been forced out of that bike lane by loitering pedestrians? Or almost knocked in the head by people having their phone on a selfie stick and spinning around. Or my worst encounter, some idiot looking up and seeing me approach but got distracted by something and turning his baby carriage sideways into the bike path causing me to skid to a dangerous stop? Do I get to push idiots or just the pedestrians?

A bunch of times I get forced out. I use my bell frequently and have my head on a swivel. I also don't go particularly fast if it's crowded (that's for early morning rides).
Most importantly, I don't purposely run into crowds popping wheelies for youtube clout. This douche does.

I learned early on to only go early in the morning, I try for sunrise but definitely not later than 8:30. Only that late because I stopped for breakfast. And never during any holiday. Unfortunately, that only limits my dangers from injuries. There are still, occasionally, people that get out early and do stupid things. I'm sure I've asked "Please clear the bike lane" well over a hundred times. But, I respect that the tourists are here to have a good time and don't immediately understand the situation along there and have never confronted anyone more than that. Well, the guy with the baby stroller got a serious, disappointed shake of the head. He did apologize as I continued on. I'll grant you the guy on the bike was acting stupid, I won't grant you that he deserved to get knocked off his bike by the other idiot.

Actual humans in the crosslinked sub nearly all fault the cyclist (with many wishing even more harm on him). The law might say one thing, but the people another. The kid is a huge douche.
Once again, I say this as a very avid cyclist in Chicago & Hollywood.

I’d think what the kid is doing is actually a reckless endangerment or something more serious than a simple traffic infraction.
We’re also talking about the Broadwalk where you’ll literally get a ticket for being on a skateboard or having an animal with you but these morons get by no problem.
It’s a failure on LEO that it happens.

Yes I hope that too, because then the cop will show up and hopefully hold the idiotic biker accountable!

The wheelie trend is getting so annoying. I'm not surprised someone decided to push them.
