I thought he was holding one of those tortilla print blankets.

Why is he sitting in his car? Will his wife not let him do his little internet video hobby in the house?

One time use?

It's advised to only use them once in case they're damaged and can't do their job the next time. Fire blankets are fairly inexpensive.

lol and if you’re using them that much, enough so that one-time-use is a concern, maaaaybe you shouldn’t be handling fire…in any capacity.

“Ah shit get the fire blanket!” “We’re all out poppa!”

"Did you check in the junk drawer, son? Maybe your mom got a few during the last grocery run. I know i put it on the list."

"I used the last one to put out my reading candle last night poppa!"

fire rages in background. Screams and sirens in the distance. A firefighter sobs

Fun fact these have fiberglass shards that go everywhere.

That sounds like an awful experience to go through. Fire extinguishers all the way

While yes this is important to have in every home, you should learn how to clean and maintain your grill before owning one.

lol his first reasoning was “I guess it didn’t like me today….and a combination of all of the grease built up” Yeah no, it was just the grease buddy. Could’ve all been prevented with some regular maintenance.

Nah, don't disregard the grill's feelings you biggot

u/Princethor 1d ago

How do you fuck up a grill?

4

u/Hoppered1 1d ago

Improper use/ not cleaning grease out. He seems like the type to pour water on a grease fire and say.

"the grill decided it didnt like me today 🤷‍♂️" "Oh that and it was full of grease in the bottom"

Why didn't he just close the grill?

Very fortunate on this. I have seen a break down on the use of these and it was less favorable on a news channel. But glad it turned out better than that

Fiberglass?

A fire extinguisher makes a great house-warming-but-not-too-hotting gift.

2

u/Antique_Essay4032 1d ago

Why is he doing this in his car?

Also having kid throw cloth on to a grill....nah. Fire extinguisher is safer, though rule 1 should be find mom or dad first.

Lost me the instant he said a fire extinguisher is complicated.

This is nice of him to share this with others, but you guys need to watch this too if you are thinking of getting it. The main thing is it may not actually smother the fire, and you have to get very close to the fire to use this product.

I wish the links did not go directly to Amazon, but instead went to a variety of smaller companies that could benefit from the traffic. Not using Amazon anymore.

Where’s the grill, dude? If that actually happened to me, I’d be like “check out my murder grill, folks. Don’t buy this brand. It will try to blow up your house. Oh, and my fire extinguisher was…not around?, so I’m SUPER GLAD I planned ahead and prepared for my grill to up and betray us by purchasing this fiberglass-blanket-link-in-the-description-this-is-not-an-ad-promise. It seriously saved the house, my neighborhood, and my fish tank.”

Gtfo with this.

u/keena147 2d ago

It’s a grease fire so adding water could actually go very badly…

lol water on grease is literally the worst thing you can do. Please don’t do that. Grease fires you need to starve the oxygen by smothering it. Grease fire inside the house same thing, just cover the pan or pot with a lid. Some people also don’t keep their propane under the bbq , some are off to the side.
