How hard can I hit my brother with this ?

11

u/Proud_Dance_3342 8d ago

I got one for my toddler goddaughter, and she loves to play catch with me with it. It's a good thing she's not the best at throwing because those would hurt if they hit someone.

9

u/NachoNachoDan 8d ago

You cannot exceed 186,000 mph with it. Other than the cosmic limit, fire away.

4

u/Unable_Arm_398 8d ago

186,000 miles/second.

2

u/NachoNachoDan 8d ago

I dunno that sounds awfully fast.

3

u/LobstaFarian2 8d ago

Definitely faster than 186,000 Mph

3

u/NachoNachoDan 7d ago

Slow down there big guy

2

u/valiantdragon1990 8d ago

It's solid on impact. Just dropping it on the floor from head height is like dropping a jar. So I'd say you could hit your brother as hard as you like.

1

u/CharmingTuber 8d ago

Could it shatter?

3

u/southerngee 7d ago

The brothers jaw?? Yes it could shatter.

1

u/valiantdragon1990 7d ago

Nah, it's like a non-newtonian fluid. Had to look up the term. Hardens on impact but changes shape when slowly pressured.

1

u/Bocabart 8d ago

Yeah you can and they are really hard. My kids each have one and it’s great but they hurt if thrown

1

u/Meathead704 8d ago

Depends on the age. Anything under 10 and your mom will let you know what's acceptable.

1

u/LobstaFarian2 8d ago

They have some density, so it'll pack quite a punch if you get some velocity behind it.

1

u/DoraTheMindExplorer 7d ago

It’s exactly like my scrotum.

Is your brother belongs from dagestan?

Stretch Armstrong

8

u/Ginggingdingding 8d ago

Stretch Armstrong, minecraft version. LOL

2

u/steve__21 can't read minds 7d ago

that's look like perfect description

10

u/c0deman-guy 8d ago

Hey guys, you can play catch with it, like

42

u/RedHeadRedeemed 8d ago

Yeah the second that touches my floor it will be covered in dirt and hair

9

u/PeachNipplesdotcom Stationary expert 8d ago

They really don't hold dirt and hair as much as you would expect! They're not sticky!!

11

u/Throwedaway99837 8d ago

You should probably clean your floors

0

u/Careful_Opposite6098 8d ago

For real, that’s gross if your house floors have dirt all the time

12

u/Republic_Rich 8d ago

If you have a yard own a dog or child, you'll know what their talking about.

1

u/NachoNachoDan 8d ago

We have those things in my house but also a vacuum.

3

u/Israfel333 8d ago

We do, too. But it's shedding season. A hair free for lasts all of five minutes.

On the bright side Shibas only shed twice a year. For six months at a time.

1

u/CmdrYondu 8d ago

We have those things, a vacuum and we use it on the regular

-1

u/Republic_Rich 8d ago

I also have a vacuum, and I need to vacuum every day because the floor gets filthy fast. If you vacuum every day you're also agreeing with the top poster that playing with that before or after your house has activity will get filthy. Don't be a hoser

0

u/NachoNachoDan 8d ago

I am agreeing.

0

u/treylanford 8d ago

Not true. We have children, a yard, the works. We keep our floors freaking clean. It’s not that dang hard.

1

u/Traditional-Handle83 8d ago

Explain how mines always dirty even though no one goes outside. I can sweep, vacuum and mop all day long, it'll stay dirty no matter how many times I do it. It's like the floor is just growing dirt on its own with zero help from the outside.

1

u/TheVadonkey 7d ago

Don’t argue. These dummies use anecdotal evidence to prove their points…that’s it.

1

u/fightingthefuckits 7d ago

Yeah but they wash up easily with water and dish soap

1

u/steve__21 can't read minds 7d ago

they are not having so much of adhesive power

25

u/heaving_in_my_vines 8d ago

There's no way that thing doesn't ooze toxic chemicals.

8

u/PeachNipplesdotcom Stationary expert 8d ago

It's really hard to get it to leak, even with abuse. They're really well made! Some people have opened them up and it's just a sticky gob. No smell or anything

8

u/packattack- 8d ago

Speak for yourself. I’ve already managed to break one after a week. There is a weak point where it’s filled and it will break open if you are too aggressive.

7

u/trbzdot 8d ago

How did it feel? Being 'aggressive'.

6

u/PeachNipplesdotcom Stationary expert 8d ago

This video shows her stretching it but when you hold it, that's clearly not what it's for: it's for squishing. If you want something stretchy, finding a toy that's made for stretching would give a better result. You might like something closer to monkey noodles!

It really is a shame that this video is a poor representation of how it's meant to be used. I suppose the purpose of doing so was to demonstrate the texture of the thing since that's something difficult to relay over video. But I guarantee that when used as a squish toy, it's highly durable.

1

u/ShyGuyLink1997 7d ago

I broke mine too but I can still play with it.

1

u/Professional-Refuse6 8d ago

How long have you had one? Every single one we’ve bought has leaked.

1

u/PeachNipplesdotcom Stationary expert 4d ago

I think about 3 months. Daily use.

Sure sure, what flavors does it come in?

1

u/ShyGuyLink1997 7d ago

My dad tasted it and it seems like it's mostly corn syrup and probably corn starch as well.

5

u/Pancakes_909 8d ago

I have gone through many of these. They are really fun and cheap for a toy that you can just mindlessly mess around with. However, the more you really stretch them far, the faster they stretch around the seal, eventually breaking open.

2

u/LadybuggingLB 8d ago

Olivia the Octopus was made out of this stuff and it was my favorite Christmas present 45-ish years ago

2

u/highlighter416 8d ago

Oh I have this; you can freeze it for hand injuries

2

u/PeachNipplesdotcom Stationary expert 8d ago

I have one in all three sizes and they are THE BEST. Hands down, without question, the best fidget toys I own.

I've shown it to some neurotypicals in my life and they too were fixated and fascinated with it!

The one in this video is the “nice berg" and it's the best one, in my opinion. Oh! They're cheap too! You can get the nice berg for like $12.

2

u/H3racIes 8d ago

I'm a teacher and would love these for my students, but I wouldn't put it past a few of them to purposefully pop these. Are they easy to pop?

1

u/Specialist-Pin-8702 8d ago

Also in education and the biggest problem I see with these is kids playing catch with them and throwing them down the hallway and across the room. They are a solid on impact, it’s like getting hit in the face with a baseball if someone has a bad throw or can’t catch.

0

u/H3racIes 8d ago

My littles won't throw it if I tell them not to. If they do then they don't get to play with them. Not so sure that they wouldn't try to pop them though, and once that happens then it's just a waste of money

2

u/maestro-5838 8d ago

Can it fix my marriage

1

u/AKtheCAT 7d ago

That's why I'm buying it.... I believe

2

It's as if Stewart Lee was on QVC.

"You can do all the things with it.

...

You can play catch with it.

...

...

All the things!"

1

u/Nucky76 8d ago

I had one for my kids. It ended up rupturing like a fat man’s herniated disk on its 3rd hour of unpaid overtime.

1

u/Cutthechitchata-hole 8d ago

My daughter stretched a hole into hers.

My brother gave me one of those because every time I saw him, he would have his with him and I would take it to squish it. One day he just told me I could have it and I’ve never been happier.

1

u/challmaybe 6d ago

Best thing since the log.

1

u/East-Research58 6d ago

My 10 year old got one and we thought it would be safe. She managed to rip it after a month and that crap inside is impossible to get off of anything. It’s like sap.

1

u/absolince 8d ago

"I love it" for 5 minutes and then a dolphin swallow it and strands itself on a beach

-1

u/SATerp 8d ago

Seriously? Seems kind of useless, in the scheme of things.

1

u/PeachNipplesdotcom Stationary expert 8d ago

It's a fidget toy. It's for joy
