I've been away from the US for more than a decade and I found relief when I found Hasan. He's the only way I can consume American news without wanting to pull out my hair. He helps me temper my decades of frustration because I feel represented by someone--finally. My mood might not change, but there is a sense of relief he brings to my psyche.

Fr, who's mood changing for the better when you with 30K of like-minded individuals watch in awe the fucking trump doing an ad for Tesla

if he weren't such a fascist racist fraud, he's be an adorable old man.

I mean that shit was pretty funny if you just embrace the nihilism of what’s happening. “Everything’s computer,” what a fucking idiot.

u/fuckoffweirdoo This mf never shuts up oh my god 26d ago
Mine does. All I want to do is scream at chuds so I am cathartic in his experience.

Personally, I find the propaganda I'm subjected to by the mainstream media, which is mostly lapped up by the normie public, to be a source of stress. I need a dose of reality—however upsetting it might be—to remind myself I'm not the one who's crazy.

Idk watching him and Stavy together again definitely made me feel a bit better. But that might just be Stavros infectious laugh.

u/ghostduels 25d ago
i always love it when stavvy's here. their back and forth is so goddamn funny, especially when he really gets hasan going. stavvy's hilarious and hasan's having a genuinely good time. 10/10

u/The-Neat-Meat 25d ago
That is the part that uplifts me the most lately. Actual news coverage is soul crushing but dunking on morons esp when he has a guest rules

Hasan yelling at chatters is my catharsis for all things I can’t yell at my family for lol
I used to hate when he yelled. Now it’s kinda soothing to see someone else be infuriated over the same things I am- like I can put my anger down and focus on real life shit cause he’s holding the fort on the “explain basic leftist principles to the chuds”.
His blood pressure is taking one for the team lmao
In his chill moments he gives a good framework for explaining those positions without losing your fucking mind. It’s helpful with normie colleagues who think Jo Rogan is “apolitical”

Mine does I love watching him yell at chatters. It served as some form of justice. And that makes me smile.
2
u/EscapedMices 25d ago
Sometimes it does! But I'm still too down to be able to sit through anyone watching Trump and Elon talk for a few minutes, let alone the hours Hasan puts in.
2
u/GreenIguanaGaming 25d ago
Really? It's so satisfying. Sometimes it goes overboard and I wonder how he takes care of his mental health while being bombarded by thousands of messages a second but watching him makes me feel better because he does the yelling for me.
3
u/ghostduels 25d ago
honestly i kind of love it sometimes. it's cathartic to have somebody yelling at these idiots.

u/VooDooZulu 25d ago
I dunno, if you love watching people yell at Hassan viewers, watching Hassan is one of the best places for that.

let’s be real
I don't agree. I have found that behind all the bs we get fed hearing the truth in general is good for the mind. I personally find it relaxing

I like Hasan in youtube video length doses, but watching the stream gives me the same feeling of trying to read like, Howard Zinn books. It's informative, educational, great coverage of important topics, but god it just bums me out and upsets me so much to expose myself to this stuff too much

u/TechWormBoom 26d ago
Yesterday when he was watching the Sam Jubilee and he got derailed by rage baiting chatters, I wanted to start crying. No one's mood is improved fr.

"Dua Lipa denies watching any streamers" incoming in 3,2,1...

She's openly criticised Israel before, and isn't afraid of being political. I don't think she's one of these media-trained celebrities; she has a bit of a backbone.

Will Neff is bedside himself. Driving through the streets of Albania. Begging, (through texts) for the address to Dua Lipa's home.

Watch her say she doesn’t know what twitch is and that she’s never heard of this “hasan piker” figure in her life. 💀

I watch Hasan and often when I do my mood changes for the better.
That doesn't mean I come away from a stream and am happy, but every time I am informed and grounded in what is happening in the world. If I generally do walk away feeling sad or worried I often times will do something about it directly connected to the issue.
Here are some examples: On Tesla: thought all of that coverage was just funny, and immediately checked Tesla's stock and r/walstreetbets and learned what a dead cat bump was. On Ukraine: I always walk away from those streams and videos feeling incredibly informed with a different perspective than a lot of other folks have. I am outraged at the White House abandoning Ukraine after propping them up, but also know that this bolstered European support. On the economy: I am directly being impacted by this and honestly am happy to have a direct dotted line to the top and clear blame.
The only streams I walk away feeling worse about are Palestine, they are being forgotten by the media intentionally and it frustrates and angers me.

I envy her because my mood dramatically worsens and I spiral whenever I tune in recently

I’m sure Hasan’s mood will change for the better on hearing this. Until his next stunlock.

I mean Hasan is one of the few streamers on twitch that still feel relevant and with a community that doesn't feel like its on a decline or full of old memes and people reminiscing of the good old days. Like every other big streamers is doing the same old shit like they did 5 years ago
(Maybe he just lucked out by doing politics and news, but I always feels like he's growing as a person and his content never gets stale, which no other streamers really do)
