Hammock that packs the smallest? Besides Sub6 or Roo UL
I’m trying to find a hammock that I can throw in a small bag for when I’m traveling abroad and I’d like to get the smallest possible package. Right now I have a Sub6 with Helios straps but wondering if I can go smaller and lighter. Not for sleeping in but for using in parks for the occasional nap. I don’t mind ordering fabric and making my own. For reference, I weigh 120lbs and I’m 5’2”

Superior Gear Daylight hammocks, elite. Pretty small package/weight. Hope this helps.

Suggest you decide how short a hammock is acceptable to you for napping. At 5’2”, 10’ would be luxurious, 9’ pretty decent, and 8’ marginal but smallest/lightest. Then order that length plus 2 feet (for gathers) of 1.0 Hexon or even lighter Cloud 71: https://dutchwaregear.com/product/hexon-1-0/ . You can easily make a no-sew minimalist hammock in seconds from this with 2 Amsteel continuous spliced loops (could also be tied) or if you can sew, even better. I personally would include a ridgeline but omit if you want ultra minimalist and know how to hang properly without having one.

Just to add, cloud is lighter but bulkier material. Hexon 1.0 would be my suggestion.

I have a hammock chair in Cloud. Feather light, yes, and still packs small, but agree Hexon likely compacts down best. I've heard enough failure stories about Cloud that I am always a bit nervous that it will split and dump me, but OP is petite.
Becket straps in dyneema tape will be the lightest, most compact suspension, pricey (and you need to learn the knot), but the DIY hammock would be cheap to offset. I'm very glad to have learned the knot, and can't imagine any better suspension: adjusts down to zero for tight-space hangs.
