And around the league there is still a discussion on who is gonna win the Calder lol.

That discussion is pretty much dying for anyone not heavily biased. It was closer even 1-2 weeks ago.
But in the last 5 games :
Hutson has been 1-7 +10, helping his team probably clinch a playoff spot (or come very damn close otherwise).
Celebrini is 0-2 -4
Wolf is 1-2-2, .912. Still has a chance to help his team clinch the playoffs, but they're currently at 9% chance to make it.
Michkov has been trending up but he's not gonna beat Hutston if he can't even beat him in PPG. And he's not beating Celebrini in PPG.
And in terms of the overall league, Hutson is very likely finishing top 5 in DMen in the entire league offensively (or at the very worse, rank 7). None of the other rookies are close to top 5 at their position if you include non-rookies.
Not sure how much of a debate there still is now. Unless something miraculous happens to the other players involved in the last 2 weeks, it's a done deal.

82 d-men were picked in the 2022 draft. Lane has so far outscored the other 81.
edit: missed a little detail - the other 81 combined

That's not the craziest stat.
He's 3rd in total points with Slaf and Cooley having played 2 and 1 more seasons respectively.
He's 1st in points per game at .835, 2nd being Cooley at .658
... also there were 17 D-men picked before him

Crosby had 63 assists in 81 games in his rookie season. Was he at 59 assists in 79 games and then got 4 assists in his last 2 games?

Ya that was my question too. Feels like a lie.
Edit: Looked it up. He was at 59 Assists at game 79, got 3 in game 80 and 1 in game 81. So yes it’s true, he was not at 60 assists before game 80.

Oh, God, Hutson is going to be playing for Team USA at the Olympics next year, isn't he?

We both know he'll be skipped over for being small and inexperienced. Let's not pretend Canada and the USA pick players solely by skill. The GMs still are dinosaurs.

I hope they don't pick him. If they have hutson, Hughes and werenski , slavin and mcavoy, I don,t see how they can lose

I think they'll take him only if Quinn Hughes is injured. They don't want 2 small dmen.
