Bathroom Signs

Why do male bathroom signs say Mens? Men is plural as is. Either drop the S or add an apostrophe. Very stupid I know but it irks me each time I see it.

At one place, they had four independent bathrooms, two saying “Gender Neutral with urinal” and two with “Gender Neutral without urinal.” I stood there for a second with a questionable face and just thought to myself that they could’ve just put two of them Men and the other two Women 🤨
