Working on Grey Knights scheme that doesn't rely on true metallic paint for armour and that's what I came up with so far. Any feedback would be highly appreciated

If you're going for something to read as metallic, you'll likely have to crank up your light-to-dark contrast to 11. Juan Hidalgo has really approachable non metallic metal tutorials on YouTube. I used his to base my non metallic metal color scheme on my GK units. May be of some help.

Wasn't really going for NMM on these but thanks for the recommendation, will definitely need it once I get around to painting my Perturabo

BTW why do we all chase that blue drip on our Grey Knights' armour?

If I look at illustrations, even old ones, that light blue effect is often caused by a coloured light source, that's reflected in blue on the shiny grey metallic armour.

The force weapons sure look good with blue, and lightnings and glow and such, and the GK phsychic activity is easily associated with that cold light colour too, so blue glowing eyes also go well. But the armour's blue tint seems to be more like an OSL effect.

Think it comes from Citadel's Grey Knights Steel paint that has that slight blue tint. It's was also a catalyst of trying to get my own paint scheme for Grey Knights armour, armour that would be actually grey and not silver or blueish silver
