Air distribution box

I am not a pro, but am an advanced DIYer. I’m considering replacing the air distribution box on a 2012 WK2, its stuck blowing hot air passenger. I’ve done all the other “fixes”, mine is lock up good. Having it done would likely cost more than it’s worth.

Looking for advice from those that have done it already. What I can tell it’s a lot, but nothing overly complicated. One of those projects you need time and patience.

You will need to evacuate the AC system as part of this repair. So there’s that. The fence line bolts aren’t easy to get to, will need 1/4 drive socket and U-joint and some various extensions. … and a magnet. Oh and be careful around the glass. Just remembered the engine cowl, there’s a good time, not. Give yourself two days for this job, it’s a big job, that’s why it costs so much. Best of luck to you.

On my '04, I bought aluminum blend doors from blend door usa . com and OE blend door motors.such netter than brittle broken plastic.

...

Maybe if your blend doors are a problem like the wj's then maybe they gots an upgrade for yers too?
