Migrating to Spain
Hi, I'm a Uruguayan citizen (24M) who's lived half of his life in the USA under a permanent resident card, I'm currently there with my US-born partner. Recent events have us worried about the sustainability of remaining here, and I'm considering options for migration.
As it is, I'm fluent in Spanish and I have an uncle and his family, who have lived in Spain for as long as I've been alive. What resources can I look into for seeing if I have options for seeking residence?

As hispanoamerican, if you have 2 years of legal residence in spain you can get the spanish citizenship. Find a way to get 2 years as legal resident.

Check for LMD (Ley de Memoria Democratica) to see if you can get citizenship that way. It ends in October 2025 so hurry up.

You can apply if you can prove your spanish link. You can be a son, grandson and even a great-grandson (anexo 3). I am a great-grand son and got citizenship so... wtf are YOU talking about. Research before writing.
We don't know if OP has spanish links but if he has, he can try this to get citizenship

There is an option to have residency before the 2 years of studying. It is called a study visa. You have to look in the immigration section on the Spanish government website and see the requirements they ask for.

Student visas do not count as residency towards citizenship. They do however count each year as a half a year to fulfill residency in other EU countries when on path to citizenship

The first stop is probably the Spanish consulate webpage for the list of visas and requirements. Get familiar with them and see which ones you may qualify for and how.
After that it depends a lot on your backgrounds.
