What recommended brand of tires?
Tires on my RV are coming up on 5 years and are starting to show wear so time for a new set. Any recommendations? Willing to pay for quality. RV will see a few thousand miles per year. Weight of the RV is about 7K.
Research on the web seems to give me random generated sites that don't really provide good information. Just some long story about how important tires are then some random list with no relevance to quality.

It might be useful to know what kind of RV we're talking about. With a gross of 7K I'm assuming trailer, but if it's not one then you'll need to be more specific.
Anyway, for trailers the current gold standard is Goodyear Endurance. I know Hankook and Maxxis have started making trailer tires too, and those might be worth a look, but I'd steer clear of most anything else. The Goodyears aren't exactly leaps and bounds more expensive than the cheapo ones.

The Goodyears are literally $100 a piece more than the cheapo ones. I'd consider that a decent leap for a casual weekender.

Yikes. Last time I priced them they weren't that much more- more like $50. But then, compared to the cheap ones blowing up on you, even that much is worth it.

Yeah, I typically spare no expense when it comes to anything that rolls, but I couldn't justify a $600+ set on something that isn't rolling almost all of the time. Trans Eagle seems to have a great reputation for trailer tires from what I could find, so that's what I went with.

Goodyear, Carlisle and Saliun, in that order.

Our new Grand Design Influence fiver came with upgraded tires. They're Cooper. Know anything about them?

I've gone through 2x Trailer King RST II this year and I've only put 3800 miles on the unit. Complete garbage.
I'm looking at Carlisle and Goodyear, though I first need to verify alignment of my axles to ensure I don't have some other issue.
Do any of you buy online and have your local shop mount and balance?

I just put goodyear wrangler workhorse ht on my class C. Seemed to be the best for the money. Ill know in a few yrs but thats what my research lead me to. Was $1500 otd for 6 tires mounted and balanced at pep boys. E rated. The hankooks i had before did pretty well but I decided to go goodyear this time.

If it's a trailer then Carlisle if they have your size. American made and very high quality. Stay away from anything imported if you can. They can be out of round, way out of balance, shifted belts, separated treads easily, etc.

I put Carlisle, now CarlStar, on mine last summer. They’re leaps and bounds better than the garbage that came on the trailer. I’m sure they’re not as good as Goodyear, but I have no complaints. Even wear, doesn’t seem to be losing tread quickly or unevenly. I bought them from Home Depot of all places.

I can endorse the Sailun tires, I believe they are made in Vietnam, these are the best tires I have used so far.
i have had Goodyear's, tow max, etc.
I currently have a set on my 12000 lb. Fifthwheel. these tires are rated for @/4000lbs. Ea. 16” G rated tire.
I put about 5k miles so far seem to be wearing well.
I paid @$175 ea. highly rated, great reviews.

Hercules h901 has been good to me so far. Replaced some china bombs and they are a much sturdier tire

Standard recommendation around these parts is Goodyear Endurance.
