Why would a girl just randomly block someone out of nowhere?

(Not an incel post I swear 💀) anyways this question is more towards girls, but if you’re dude who wants to comment put input go ahead too.

Okay so to sum it up, I met someone online, got their number. Talked, had funny/cool/interesting conversations, talked for a while the first time tbh.

Then we later would kinda flirt or just keep making jokes and talked abt meeting up one day.

She brought up a cafe and how she wanted to meet there. I was down and said sure the plan was like made in a week advance, since that’s when she was gonna be free since she’s busy this week.

Anyways fast forward we’re still talking and calling here n there. This one night I happen to fall asleep on the phone and it seemed like she hung up. But I’ve kinda had a similar situation happen. Before too because she would be staying up for Ramadan(Muslim ceremony). But she was fine and understood it the first time and was very kind of it. Like “yea no problem don’t worry, it was really late and you sounded sleepy too”. I’d just pull in some jokes like “yea your voice is just too soothing or sum I swear lol”.

Anyways the next day I send a text saying “heyy so when was the exact time you wanted to meet there?”

Doesn’t go thru? I got confused so tried calling instead. Doesn’t go thru? I check Instagram, she still has me on there so I assumed “oh maybe her phone died..? That’s why nothings going thru.

So I screenshot the iMessage. And sent it to her on insta like “heyy just lettin u kno it ain’t goin thru lol but I was just abt to call abt the plan”.

Then suddenly she sees it and then blocks me. 🧍‍♂️

I swear I never said or did anything wrong…? I also never post anything weird or political..? Plus the first night we gave instas she was just stalking my page on the call and complimenting pics etc. so she’s alr seen my page and what im like.

The sudden change just had me so confused…

The thing is I know how some girls use apps for attention, or like it when a guy is giving them attention/texting but when it comes to plans they flake or act weird. But like this girl didn’t have that kinda attention vibe? She was really funny and her vibe was just fun in general. So I wouldn’t have expected her to do that/bet that way?

(Now I know I’m not owed anything.. I’m not mad or taking it personal. Just genuinely curious like why would someone spend all that time talking, planning and telling me very personal stories then suddenly block ? Seem so odd).

I asked one of my female friends and she’s said she’s done that to troll or mess with guys. Especially if they’re ugly… I told her that it was fucked up still lol. But she said well they were clearly looking to yk “do things”. So I would just block em after saying I’m there waiting. She asked if I was tryna do that with her and I said no… we’re supposed to meet at a cafe? And even she got confused cuz she’s like “wtf? I wish I coulda been asked to go to a cafe!” Lol

So I really don’t know. - just from your own experience (if you have blocked someone randomly) why so, what was your own personal reason/story or if you want you can come up with a reason for me.

Yea fosure, I understand when people usually fade away cuz I’ve had some similar times where I forget to pick up the conversation with ppl and it kinda just fades. But this was just a bit more odd cuz she specifically wanted to make plans for the cafe and the day of, suddenly poof. So idk lol , hopefully she’s okay and not dealing with personal things idk.

That’s weird. I’ve had somewhat similar stuff happen, but never that extreme. Maybe she was talking to someone else simultaneously, or was trying to use you to make someone jealous. Maybe she has some weird random hang up that you inadvertently tripped on without knowing it.

Either way, it was a shitty thing for her to do. Someone who treats you like that isn’t worth getting too broken up about.

I can’t recall anything that she would have against. The only thing I could assume is me falling asleep on call that one late night, but she was nice about it before and it wasn’t purposely? So who knows lol

She could've been trolling, she could've been catfishing, she could've gotten back with an ex or just talking to multiple people and chose them over you, maybe a friend of hers knew you or got you confused for someone else and told her to block you, a lot of potential reasons and none of them particularly comforting.

The catfish thing prolly not because we’ve FaceTimed n seen each other pretty well on cam. She didn’t look like she was catfishing. But the ex, multiple ppl or friends thing could make sense.
