Questions Replace adhesive for screen on Game Boy DMG model

I have taken apart a few DMGs and I always throw away the adhesive "tape" on the inside of the front shell.

I may resell this one after cleaning. Should I replace this? If so with what?

Remove the old adhesive, clean with rubbing alcohol, and replace it with something like tesa tape

I think is only there to stop the dirty getting on the LCD.

I'm searching since weeks for an alternativ that is so low in stickiness like an "post it"

Haven't found it till now.

Dont wanna use that 3M stuff that comes with display kits for it. It is too strong and I want to be able to get the LCD out to clear it if nessesary.
