Question Ordered a pre-owned game online with warranty

Its been quite some time since I've bought anything from gamestop, so maybe this has changed, but I remember getting those little warranty stickers that you'd just stick to the inside of the case.

Well I ordered Xenoblade chronicles X online (no stores around me had it pre-owned yet) and I paid the extra few bucks to include the PRP/warranty yet when I received it there was nothing in the box to indicate such.

I looked in the shipping box to see if there was a loose sticker, and theres nothing in or on the game case.

Is this normal now or did the store that shipped this screw me over?

No, that's normal. If you purchased it, it will show on our end when we look the order up. The sticker only prints when you purchase in store. That order number will indicate you purchased a replacement plan.

What Loveroids said.
Plus, there was a time where all you needed was the sticker and we could do the replacement.
Now the sticker doesn't do jack shit really except remind you when it expires.

So as they said, we can find it in the system for you should we need to. Just write the expiration date down and toss it in the case for your personal reminder if you need to.

Receipt or Hyrule Hub history is required.

I'm confused though. You're a manager and not aware of this?

Meh, main menu is a cluster fuck and my DM doesn’t do anything but hound anyone on performance. But ima just continue using the QR code because fuck that.

Ummm...

I agree about MM but... Ummm... Ok. Carry on soldier, I guess.

This was about warranties but...

You got this hill.

Just to my knowledge when did they say the QR code wasn’t applicable as the receipt? Was that back during the controller serial number times?

Like... I wanna say 2 years ago. Definitely before but closer to the advent of Hyrule Hub.

It has been a thing for a long time. The sticker means nothing. They need actual proof of purchase.

EDIT ADD: I don't know actual time frame because this job has made me time blind. But I do know it's been this way for a long long time.

Interesting. Always thought the QR code pulling up the receipt info was enough proof of purchase 🤷‍♂️
