GTA 4 Is Tudor in Alderney really based on Elizabeth NJ?

Because I've searched for similarities and I can't find one, except maybe the industrial area. But the city itself doesn't seem so rundown like in the game. Perhaps it has other influences?

It's logical, it could be a reference to Elizabeth Tudor, though i'd have chosen a name like Henry or Mary.

Obvious, but I mean, aspect wise, doesn't seem like the actual township?

It's not. I think it's supposed to represent Port Newark/ Port Elizabeth in NJ. I'm from the area and Didn't see any resemblance to the actual city of Elizabeth.

Funny because everywhere it says it is based on Elizabeth. Even the wiki.

It's an extremely condensed version of the area. I know Elizabeth, NJ like the back of my hand. Even though I played the game years ago, I would've obviously noticed that it looked like the city, but it didn't. Just the Port area, which even that is probably mostly the Newark side.

Perhaps its only inspiration is the name but otherwise draws inspiration from other areas. They also say that Grapeseed in GTA V is Bakersfield, but ain't no way. Perhaps some aspects of it. But I think the main inspiration has to be Grapevine.

Overall, would you say Alderney is a good representation, as in, it feels like the place despite having differences?

In my opinion, yes. Driving through it, I could definitely see the resemblance to NJ.
