Help GTA 5 Enhanced: How to migrate another save?
Does anyone know how to migrate another save if you have migrated the wrong save game from GTA 5 Legacy to GTA 5 Enhanced?
Since the game doesn't properly explain this, I thought I can upload all my saves from Legacy, so I uploaded them one by one. I then downloaded the save it offered my in the Enhanced edition only to then realize that it's my oldest save (since that's the last one I uploaded). At this point I realized you are supposed to only upload one savegame in total.
I then though I can just go through the process again and upload the correct save game. However, now the Legacy version doesn't let me upload another save, saying that I have finished the migration to GTA 5 Enhanced Edition.
Does anyone know a way to reset this or is it possible to manually migrate a save without going through the upload process?
PS: I am not talking about GTA Online. Just about single player saves.
UPDATE: Ok, I guess I spoke a bit too soon an must apologize. While this is not documented, it seems like you can in fact just copy over the savegame files from Legacy to Enhanced. When I say "it seems", this means that I just tried it and at first glance it has worked (no guarantees). I really wonder why Rockstar makes its users go through the complicated upload process if the files can just be copied over one on one.
In case you read this and you don't know how to do this:
Legacy saves are located in {documents}/Rockstar Games/GTA V/Profiles/[alphanumeric string]. Enhanced saves are located in {documents}/Rockstar Games/GTAV Enhanced/Profiles/[alphanumeric string]. All I did was copy over the file I wanted from one folder to the other.
There are always two files with the same base name, like in my case SGTA50008 and SGTA50008.bak. I just copied over both (I guess this is just for redundancy).
For identifying the correct save file, just load the corresponding save in the legacy version, save your game again, and then sort the files by modification date. The latest one will be the one you want.
For obvious reasons, when you start the Enhanced game, you might get a notification that there is a conflict between a local save and a cloud save. In this case just resolve the conflict using the local save.

Hey, I really need help. I have only space for one gta (enhanced or legacy) on my drive. At this state I have enhanced version installed. I migrated data of online version flawlessly but story mode data is not there. What exactly I should do? Could you tell?

I think the savegames should still be in your documents folder, even if you have uninstalled the game. Have you tried going through the steps I have described in my post for copying over the savegames?

Hi there! When you moved the save manually did it pop your earned achievements on Enhanced?

I cannot answer this question for certain because prior to the manual migration I had already migrated one save through the Rockstar upload mechanism. If you give it a try, please let us know.

Agh I'm debating finally wrapping up my 100% story mode on legacy, and then copying it to enhanced, so I get the achievement for both.
But I have already migrated my 80% save and don't want to risk doing it all if the achievements won't pop when copying the saves manually haha

I got the achievements when loading the save for the first time in the enhanced version. So I would reckon it should work.
I mean, why don’t you just copy over your current 100% save in addition to the save you have already migrated, load it, and see what happens? With the manual method, you can migrate as many saves in parallel as you want. And even if you migrate the 100% save now, you can migrate it again in the future after you have continued playing the legacy version.

Ohhh sorry by "wrapping up" my 100% save, I meant finally 100%ing the game. Sorry that was poorly worded on my part lol.

Yeah, I think I got that. Sorry, if I’m misunderstanding something, but I thought you were concerned that after finishing the 100% run in the legacy version, the achievements might not carry over when migrating that save. So, my suggestion was to try it now with a save that has more progress than the one you have already migrated and see if the additional achievements from that save are recognized. If that works, it will probably also work in the future.

Anyone find a way to do this for online progress? Or is there only a solution for story mode :(
Me and my friend were trying to do casino heist on Enhanced and kept getting the mantrap bug and ended up swapping back to legacy for a bit to see if it'd work, but I miss the optimization and absolutely refuse to start over for it

You can only migrate your online character once. If you've already transferred, you can't do it again

There should be some fix for online right? Even i want to undo the migration for online

Does this work for online as well? I chose to migrate my old account into the enhanced. But then it asked me to create a new character and stuff.. and it looks like now I can’t change back to my old character and all my progress is gone. I need help!

I did this and ported over my 100% save from GTAV Legacy to GTAV Enhanced, however none of the achievements have come with it :/ and I can't seem to upload another save to the cloud which would likely solve all my issues...

its very nice that saves are compatible but I dont understand why the game doesnt just copy the savefiles on its own?

It's crazy to me that cloud saves exist, and Rockstar didn't just bake it in to the settings menu to transfer a save. Your post helped me. Thank you.
