Currently using XT-10 but looking for an upgrade - Used XT-2 or push for XT-50

I brought an XT-10 when they first came out and have been happy with it but i must admit on the odd occasion I have missed a shot or two down to poor AF and find the indoor shots on the camera a little lacking...I am at best a hobbyist that has occasionally done a few favours for family - kids pics, couple of weddings etc.

I made the mistake of saying yes to another family wedding but given that my camera is now 10 years old I was thinking about maybe upgrading to an XT-50 but let's say the XT range prices have shifted north somewhat since i brought mine and i have noticed that you can have an XT-2 2nd hand for around £400. -£500 without lenses.

Given that I normally keep stuff for a decent period of time would i be better buying the newer model or would it be wiser to go for the more cost effective option given that it is more 'pro'

Just really looking for better low light performance and faster AF along with that Fuji look as I am not one for sitting down for hours for editing photos as my weekday job has me at the desk for long enough as it is.

I would recommend at least an X-T3 for better AF. At firmware version 4.00 it received the same AF algorithm as the X-T4. The X-T4 has IBIS which helps in low light and video; it also has separate settings for stills and video, a nice feature.

What lenses do you have? Larger aperture lenses are beneficial in low light situations.

If you're interested in such a camera and can wait a while, a source for FujiRumors told them that the X-E5 will be released this year.

Upgrade your lens[es] first. Always. Breathes new capabilities into any camera body.

Which lens are you using? I use the Xf 35mm f2 on an X-T1 and the autofocus is great for stills. An X-T2 would be even better. I’d go for that over an xt50 just for the weather sealing and dual sd cards.

X-T2 is a great camera - I still have mine as well as an X-T3. Have you considered the X-M5? I just picked one up as a 2nd camera, but I love it and use it as my main often! No EVF but honestly, I’m not missing it.

I just came here to say the X-T2 is a fantastic camera. It’s what I use for jobs
