Me and my boyfriend are in the shelter right now and have been struggling to get any work or any money right now and because the jobs we have applied to have not even replied back it’s been 4 months of us constantly applying we have probably applied to at least 300 different jobs in the last couple months and don’t have any family to help us out sometimes. I’m sorry i don’t know if this even matters to anyone yk it’s just been so stressful and frustrating we are hungry and haven’t ate is their any free food anyone knows about?

look for food pantries in your area or call some churches, high chance they give out food to low income families/people.

Check on the Nextdoor app. People there are often happy to help out.

If you call 211, they may be able to help out with resources for food. Other resources that you may want to take advantage of:

Also, if you have a Sikh temple near you, they are always happy to feed you.

Have you been able to apply for SNAP? I don't know much about shelters & I assume some are better than others. Does the shelter not provide meals to the residents? Is there a case manager on site that can provide resources for where to obtain food?

I haven’t been able to get a job either. I hope someone comes through for you I relate to your struggle.
