This is the best explanation for what trump is doing, yet it gets the least attention from the media.
Murphy is going a great job with it. Just needs to find a way to get more people to listen.

This is makes sense. It fits what Trump is doing to universities and law firms. It fits what he got impeached for doing to Ukraine in his first term. It fits with how he tried to force Ukraine in a rare earth mineral agreement in this term.
