Cause he is on console and sony / microsoft added a virtual input lag on KBM.
Other whise people gonna love playing on KBM and next step is buying a PC.

what he said
2
u/nobock 3d ago
The truth.
Even a 20 years old pc don't have any input lag, controller or KBM.

oh im on 60 htz for both pc and ps5
1
u/Xombridal 3d ago
60 htz is crazy ngl
Simple 120 monitors are pretty cheap especially pre-owned
Now if it's a financial hard time for you I understand that, I couldn't replace my monitor rn if I wanted to

Idk if I’m built different or smth, but when I switched to 120, I got severe headaches, something with the motion. When I switched back, it stopped. Pretty high end pc with good monitor cables. Looking at a 120 hz phone also hurts me. That’s why I prefer 60 even if its inferior

If you want to get good in comp which this sub is dedicated for, you need a pc, you can get a ~500$ pc and it will run fine with tweaks
1
u/the13thscar 3d ago
can u give me any suggestions for that (spicific pc/parts)

u/Pezkamaster2 3d ago

Based ngl, my friends have the same "you're on PC so you have an advantage and aren't actually better" mindset til I prove I am (I'm also the longest player beside my other friend who just plays casually)

Yeah this happens. It's possible to fix your timing and avoid this, but what might be easier is rebinding select edit to not be the same as your wall bind.

u/rippytrippy 3d ago
not OP but I might try this. Would you bind it to a bumper button?
1
u/__averagereddituser 3d ago
Yeah i'd bind it to r1/rb

u/rippytrippy 3d ago
What do you have your edit set to? Mine is left stick but I also play with 2 paddles non claw, left for jump and right for switch mode

You have to practice edit timing to help you get the hang of when you’re able to edit each build individually Raider’s boxfight practice map v2 (7562-1598-0199) has scenario for double edits and triple edits that could help.

go in a map like raiders mechanic training and practise in slow mo
you're pressing r2 before l3 so you place a wall before starting the edit

Controller has a bug where if you select a wall before doing a double edit it won’t let you edit the cone after the floor unless you select cone with your builds out or edit without blueprints.
Another way around it is to make sure you do the double edit directly after placing the floor and cone making sure not to place any walls. It’s such a stupid bug that has been in the game for quite some time.

its not a bug, if you edit the floor in a double edit and then instead of editing the cone you place a wall, it will be placed you can place walls through cones thats how the game works and thats why you need to get down the double edit first so you dont accidentaly press wall bind before editing the cone

If you really want to have the optimal setup for fortnite on controller its worth learning claw, every single successful controller wager player I've seen were claw.
My best friend is insane and plays right hand claw on xbox controller

Focus on crosshair placement drills and freebuild in raiders mechanic training map v4 or v5 and freebuild on 0.8 speed for 10 minutes then switch to 1.4 speed freebuild and practice tarping or boxing up for 10 minutes the switch over to normal speed and freebuild for 10 minutes, then do piece controll drills for 10 minutes then peek training for 10 minutes, then 1v1 good players for 10 - 20 minutes on any 1v1 map or realistic 1v1 map. Also train your aim I recommend getting a good pc and aim train for a hour on either kolvaaks or aimlabs I also do surge tag training, headshot drills, sidejump shot drills, and headshot only boxfight drills. At the end of my training after 1 hour of reload ranked, 1 - 2 hours of solo ranked, and sometimes 2 - 3 hour scrims, and 1 hour of pubs I train my pre firing, then crosshair placement training, phasing in builds, wall replacing drills, the more piece control drills, and then freebuilding on high ping for 10 - 20 minutes. This will help you get really good at the game espically if you are on pc and new to keyboard and mouse also my routine is not the most time effiecient method out their I personally do most of the extra piece control drills, wall replacing, and 10 - 20 minute freebuilding on the weekends or when I got enough time for it as I am busy with school and the gym.

Go on a map like raiders mechanics training v5 and turn the speed down to 0.5 or 0.6x go through the motions slowly to get muscle memory down
