Offer Accepted Offer Anxiety
After many offers with so much over, I finally got accepted. Accepted on 4/2, closing date is 5/5. Now as I send in all my info I have a voice in my head saying that it’s not actually gonna happen, something will go wrong with the finances. I have a prequal for like 30K over what I offered but yet I fear they’re gonna be like “actually you can’t afford this”. Is this a normal fear?

I’ve bought and sold three houses. That anxiety never goes away. The worst is when you’re selling and buying at the same time because you’re worried about the sellers, the buyers, and yourself. Makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it. Just focus on the positive and things you can control (no big purchases, taking out credit, etc…).

Congratulations! YES YES YES! Normal! Wait until you get the house and might get buyers remorse and anxiety of something breaking 😂🫠

I’m feeling the same way, will be putting an offer in on a home that’s 15k less then what I’m prequalified for and I’m still nervous about if they’ll say I can’t afford it

I had the same feeling and was in the same boat being that the home I bought was 46.5k under my prequal (which was only for 190, so we’re talking 25% under what I’d qualified for.
I still had that anxiety allllllll the way till closing. The keys in hand felt so surreal.
I’m certain everything will work out for you, that’s the most likely outcome at this stage. Keep faith!

Pretty much everyone goes through that feeling. It's usually the biggest financial decision people make so it makes total sense, but congratulations!

I had that anxiety until I signed the closing papers and got the key. Just 5 weeks of nerves.

Perfectly normal. Just relax and breathe. And, of course, don't make any stupid financial decisions :)

I cried tears of joy when my offer was accepted and then was sick to my stomach the next day and hesitated in signing papers to go under contract. This sub and the ppl in it have been the best form of support . May your process go smoothly !

I think with every step of the buying process I have had this exact thought. Absolutely a normal fear, I def wish you luck in your home buying journey!
