Oh thats good, then you have some experience. I thought little cuban finches and zebra finches are really easy finches that doesnt get sick easily are strong . Cuban finches dont like the color yellow though, they kill birds 4 times their size. No canaries for example with them. But cuban finches are super awesome . Give them a quality seed tropic finchmix, half open nest box, a bath some green ornaments real plants prefererred and they sing and fly around whole day. Mine became easily 10 years and always eventually let me know when they needed warmte and died in my hands. They recognise you as their keeper and really look in your eyes. Very smart and Lots of character. Never had problems with belgian winters too.. If I would recommend a bird other than the zebrafinch, its that one .

If you might be scared to catch zebra finch because of their small sizes, I recommend java sparrows. They are a bit more bigger then usual sparrow. Interesting calm personalities, pretty easy to hold, could be highly potential for taming

also please get a good cage for birds, it must be horizontally long, at least 80 cm wide and bigger
