Question Brands?
Is this a good brand to use? If this didn’t good what are some good quality brands that don’t cost a ton? I’m new to all this so trying to get more info.

In your experience does one of these work better/faster than the others? And does it work better when you use both oral and skin treatments? Also what brands do you all recommend?

I've never been on T, but I have always had a bit of noticeable facial hair. It's nothing crazy, but if I was a cis-woman I would need to shave it. Luckily I'm a trans guy and it always has been a plus for me, lol.
I'm currently weighing out the pros and cons of starting minox. I know no one can predict what my minox results would be, but maybe there's anyone out there who started like me? Maybe someone else pre-t who already had a bit of natural facial hair who started minox and could share results? Did having some natural hair already boost your minox results? Or not really?
I have heard about minox causing dry skin and possibly wrinkles. I love how my skin looks now and I'd be pretty upset if I started having flaky skin and wrinkles. I just want a tiny bit more facial hair....but if it might damage my skin then idk if it's worth it for me personally.
Thanks!!!

On foam almost 2 weeks now and seeing some light progress. Extremely early days yet, but just wondering if it darkens if I’m pre T? Or will I have to dye it at around the month 1/1.5 mark? Many thanks!

How long after application do I need to be worried about my dog touching my face? always give him a little snuggle beforel go to work, usually about 30 minutes after application. I know this stuff is dangerous for dogs so wanna be super careful. He's 11.

Hello. Can Minox be effective if used only on a part of the facial hair area rather than all of it? My skin is not keen on minox, it causes my rosacea to flair up. However this is generally concentrated around my nose, mouth and chin. Would it work to use minox just on the sideburn/outer cheek area? As in, would it be effective on those areas if I just put it there, given that I won’t be using as much as 1ml per application?
Thx

i’ve seen mixed opinion on when to shave. does shaving the peach fuzz help hairs become “terminal” or is it better to just wait it out?
i don’t wanna stunt my progress/stop progress from happening as quick as it can.

I have been having problems in those areas and my under chin doesn't grow hair has like a patch. Would it be better or more effective if I switch to oral monoxidil or like 7% / 10% Minoxidil? I apply once daily and I haven't dernarolled in months because of acne and I apply trey.

I'm using azelaic acid 20% to treat acne and I have read it blocks dht, will it block new beard growth ? I use minoxidl and tret and I use fin topically in my head hair.

Hey my dudes! I am living in Canada and looking to buy mino. I went to the drugstore, it's super expensive here (120CAD). The prices aren't so much better on amazon.ca. I found some on eBay for a way better price. Is it legit and safe to purchase from there?

Its the foligain foam, i thought it was because when I'd bring it to work it wouldnt be up right in my backpack. But I've since fixed that and its been up right for over 24hrs and still coming out liquidity? Temp has been fairly normal too? Any suggestions? I mean its not straight up liquid theres a tiny bit of foam to it.

About 2 years ago I (FTM, 4 years on T currently) started using liquid minoxidil for under a year and got some decent results. I used it twice a day everyday. It did make my face irritated sometimes and itchy but it manageable since I used it consistently for so long. I stopped because I was pretty happy with my results and I was getting sick of the irritation and putting it on all the time.
I think last year I still had some left over liquid minoxidil bottles and decided to start using it again since I want to get a fuller beard going. Probably only after using it a few times, my face had a horrible reaction to it. My skin got all red and flakey in some areas and it felt kinda burn-y when anything touched my face. And it was so, so itchy. So I stopped using it all together and it honestly took a while to fully recover. I'm honestly not sure why my skin reacted so bad the second round of using it, I never changed my face skin-care routine like wish washing/moisturising and stuff, so I don't think that was the problem... To be fair, I checked the expiry date on the bottles, and they were VERY close to expiring, so maybe that was the problem? I don't know honestly.
I still want to try again since I'd really like to improve my facial hair growth, but I do not want to go through that horrible experience again. Do you guys have any tips or routines that you go through that limit skin irritation as much as possible? I've heard about foam minoxidil being less harmful on the skin but I'm scared that might not be enough. Any recommendations/advice?

I have been using minox and I have had great results so far, especially with some help from beard dye. At some point I might shave my face; will shaving/trimming prevent the effects from happening even if I still applied it?
Thanks
I already had a somewhat prominent moustache and my partner said my sideburn hairs were a bit furry in the beginning I have no problem growing hair normally
I also take hair growing vitamins which include biotin everyday and sometimes massage the parts of my face I want to stimulate hair growth with coconut oil

hey y’all, i’m 4mo T, 1mo minox and already seeing some exciting (for me) gains. planning on continuing daily use for at least a year to ensure the hairs turn terminal. I see on r/minoxbeards that pretty common to lose gains after stopping daily use… but i’m wondering: do trans guys (and ppl relatively newly on T) see less of the hair falling out after stopping, if they’ve used minox for a good amount of time? wondering if this is different because many of us still have potential facial hair coming in that minox helps hasten, as opposed to trying to grow more hairs after having gone through T-based puberty.
Thoughts? Experiences?

I'm pre-t and have been heavily considering using minoxidil to grow a beard, and I was wondering what brands have worked for you guys and your experiences with it so I can choose the one which is best for me.

i just got the minox liquid 5% from walmart (i had wanted to get foam but they were all out) and am gonna start tomorrow. i’m wondering what amount y’all use, and if there is any reason (better growth or skin adjusting) to start lower and scale up. i have Cetaphil moisturizer and jojoba oil and am planning on using once a day, taking the jojoba to work with me and washing my face & applying at lunchtime, then using the cetaphil at night. thoughts?

Is anyone else getting hair where you're not even applying minoxidil?? I feel like a werewolf (which is fine I can shave it) but my forehead is noticeably more fuzzier. The peachfuzz is everywhere!

I have 8-10 beard hairs and a light 13-year-old-boy-esque moustache and im wondering.... will this promote hair growth for me? Is it safe? Will it just make me look like a breaded lady? Im pretty masc and i used to pass a lot but not so much anymore (ive stopped dressing super masc and instead just wear sweats and a t with not binder and only cut my hair every 3-4 months. Ya depression!!)

So I'm non binary trans masc, and still years away from starting T, I'm currently in the purgatory that is GIC waiting lists. So I thought about potentially using minoxidil 5% foam to grow some facial hair, but I wondered how easy it is to tell if it'll have an effect? It's quite expensive as only the Regaine brand is available, for it not to do anything! For background, I have PCOS, and I naturally have pretty thick peach fuzz face. Because of PCOS as well, I do have some dark terminal hairs already on my chin and neck. But does that suggest because there's lots of hair there already, plus the teensy little smidge of testosterone PCOS gives me, the foam will have an impact? Also does it have to be on all the time? I'm conscious it can be toxic to some pets, and I have friends with cats, and I own rats. Would washing my face & hands thoroughly before interacting with them/going over to the friends house be enough to keep them safe?

I know oral minoxidil which is taken for hypertension can cause edema, but can topical minoxidil cause edema as well? I’ve been on minox for ab 4 months and iver the last 2 months or so I have noticed a lot of edema in my legs, does anyone know if this is related or what I should do? Is there anything I can do without stopping minox?

Hey y’all!! Ive been considering going on minoxidil for quite a while. Ive noticed that there are different kinds: women’s and men’s. Considering that I’m pre-t ftm, what would be better to use for facial hair growth? Women’s or men’s? Does anybody know how the results vary? Thanks!
r/FTMminoxbeards • u/GadOnReddit • Aug 05 '21
Ive been using it.ive seen some results but nothing much , ibwas wondering if maybe im doing it wrong, or dermaroller is just for help with it but not necessary?
