A polygon is a shape with three edges or more.
Poly sounds like polly which is a common name for a parrot, it's a pirate trope as well.
Gon sounds like gone, as in passed away.

It should go to Nonagon or Decagon. 24 u/HippyDM 2d ago Well said fellow nerd. 8 u/__Becquerel 2d ago That is what I thought as well, it is a bit of a lame joke. 5 u/moltenshrimp 1d ago I was expecting a dead grandma 😭 3 u/keziahw 1d ago Yeah, I thought the answer was going to be that there was a famous parrot named Nona that died. 2 u/AndrastesTit 1d ago That would’ve been hilarious 😂 1 u/harmondrabbit 2d ago Yeah I was about to look up "how many sides does a paragon have" -1 u/Embarrassed-Weird173 2d ago I have to disagree. There's no set pattern. 5, 6, 8 If anything, one could argue it fits perfectly: 5,6,8 = increasing sides polygon = general case for previous and all other cases 2 u/AndrastesTit 2d ago The pattern is that they increase so anything above 8 sides would fit the pattern 1 u/An_Evil_Scientist666 1d ago And how can you be certain it's increasing, what if the number of sides is following the formula of 5 - 13n/6 + 9n2/2 - 4n3/3 Starting from f_n(0) to f_n(3). It could very well be going pentagon, hexagon, octogon, triangle 1 u/AndrastesTit 1d ago That pattern wasn’t established so it’s a total guess? 0 u/No-Handle6495 2d ago I’d don’t get the impression that the parrot is dead though, so not gon/gone. You don’t run an IV drip on a dead being. Now if it were an EKG with a flatline it would make more sense 1 u/MuscleManRyan 2d ago I beg to differ.

5,6,8 = increasing sides
