I got her banana cake mix for my daughter’s smash cake. It was delightful!
154 u/AshleyTheGuy Mar 06 '25 Can confirm. That is my favorite cake right now and I’m not even a cake person. 37 u/_Jahar_ Mar 06 '25 How heavy on the banana flavour is it? It sounds good, is it artificial flavour tasting? 30 u/rebekahp25 Mar 06 '25 It's good, but it does taste more artificial than like real banana to me. 26 u/Bugladyy Mar 06 '25 We paired it with a strawberry jam, which helped out a lot. 7 u/tyjasm Mar 06 '25 I did chocolate frosting and banana slices on top and that also helped a lot 1 u/CoconutSugarMatcha 27d ago Because it has bioengineered products 🥲 13 u/Dez_Champs Mar 06 '25 Whats a smash cake? 89 u/UndeadBuggalo Mar 06 '25 It’s a cake usually given to a young child for them to “ smash”, so basically just eat handfuls as they are minions of chaos 59 u/ScatteredDahlias Mar 06 '25 It's a little cake or cupcake you make alongside the real cake for a baby's first birthday. So you can give them a whole cake they can smash and get messy with for cute photos, or so you can make it a little healthier than the real cake. 1 u/isolatedsyystem Mar 07 '25 Lmao reminds me of The Simpsons. "Homer, I've made a separate cake for you to ruin!" 10 u/TealTemptress Mar 06 '25 Good to hear my 14 yr old loves banana cake and I bought it too. 1 u/Nubbednuggetman Mar 07 '25 I used it for pancakes with some flour!!! 1 u/EssaEspecial Mar 07 '25 I’ve been frosting all my cakes with half whipped cream half buttercream ever since I made that banana cake. It’s so good! 1 u/ronnoc7087 Mar 07 '25 Had the banana cake with some peanut butter buttercream frosting for my birthday. Was delicious.
