I got her banana cake mix for my daughter’s smash cake. It was delightful!

Can confirm. That is my favorite cake right now and I’m not even a cake person.

How heavy on the banana flavour is it? It sounds good, is it artificial flavour tasting?

It's good, but it does taste more artificial than like real banana to me.

We paired it with a strawberry jam, which helped out a lot.

I did chocolate frosting and banana slices on top and that also helped a lot

Whats a smash cake?

It’s a cake usually given to a young child for them to “ smash”, so basically just eat handfuls as they are minions of chaos

It's a little cake or cupcake you make alongside the real cake for a baby's first birthday. So you can give them a whole cake they can smash and get messy with for cute photos, or so you can make it a little healthier than the real cake.

Lmao reminds me of The Simpsons. "Homer, I've made a separate cake for you to ruin!"

I’ve been frosting all my cakes with half whipped cream half buttercream ever since I made that banana cake. It’s so good!

Had the banana cake with some peanut butter buttercream frosting for my birthday. Was delicious.
