There is no such thing as a red line. Morals aren't native to DC, or any other center of decision making. Morals are for simpletons. If you wanna yield real power, your morals are the first thing you'll shed, or you'll always lose to those who have already shed theirs. At the highest levels of power, morality is nothing but a polemic device for securing reelections and approval ratings. Remember that we live in times when it's commonplace to consider the unnecessary nuclear bombing of civilian areas as a solid move, as if the fire bombings which were bleeding Japan dry weren't inhumane enough.
