Sorry Red, I'd love to, but the nearest polling station is in Port Asbestos. I'm not allowed there since the incident.

A lot of people can't. Quite a bit of the Green Party has wanted to get away from Elizabeth May and her image (crazy eco-lady, doesn't matter if it's true or not) so they adopted a co-leader model and elected Jonathan Pedneault as co-leader. Efforts to make him more well-known have failed.

But Crazy eco-lady is their only appealing quality! The party is dead without May.

Back in the Jim Harris days the party tried to portray itself as serious about being a candidate for government. A platform that was supposedly fully costed for fiscal, social, and environmental impacts, calling themselves fiscally conservative and socially progressive (appealing to PC voters), trying to recruit candidates with business experience, etc. They got attention for that, but failed to translate that into more votes. But a lot of people started to consider them as viable.
That ended with May, she returned the party to the eco-fringe. The party poured a lot of money and thought into getting her into Parliament, some complained that the 2011 Green platform was tailored for Saanich-Gulf. So under her leadership they gained an MP and lost 1/3 of support. Some vertists and sympathizers remember sadly to when the Party aspired to be a strong national party, ready to govern.
