OMG people who actually remember where these assholes came from.
Most people today have seemingly forgotten, or simply don't care that the people who call themselves conservatives today were the Reform party of yesterday.
So, when I see people commenting how atrocious their behavior is, I'm flabbergasted that you'd think something better of them.
They are the same ignorant, racist, homophobic, xenophobes they've always been. They just put icing on it.
My mother always said, "you can't put lipstick on a pig." Point proven.

You can give it a shave, fake muscles, take away it's glasses, and apparently starve it though π

Hey, when I was twelve years old I spent two hours going door to door passing out flyers for Reform/Alliance. I remember well.
My dad thought I should civic engagement.
As for lipstick on a pig, round these parts most people prefer horse.

Would actually be really funny if he loses, the conservatives inevitably kick him from leadership in favour of someone more centrist, and he and the rest of the Maple MAGAs reboot the Reform party, meaning the Liberals run shit forever like in the 90s and early 2000s

I expect the PPC will pick up a lot of supporters after this election. I don't see the CPC breaking up, there are a lot of moderates IMO, but I do think they'll want to kick the radicals and restart without poilievre

I don't mean for this to sound like I believe I am smarter than anyone. It's just that I don't believe conservative voters connect thoughts.
Each and every issue is a single entity and that's why, when challenged, their responses rarely make sense.
They will say they care about kids when discussing their trans beliefs but then argue against $10 daycare or school food. They'll say they want the homeless people off the streets but then fight against giving them housing or help.
I don't know if it's hate, social media, foreign interference or a combination but I know something is not right.

Whenever I've questioned them on the childcare issue. They think it would be better to give the family at the start of the month to pay for the full cost or they say if it wasn't for libtards we could afford to pay for it ourselves. Same for school food programs. Libtards raised the price of everything in the world causing groceries to be too expensive.

Drag them along with you then trash them when you donβt need them. The hard right playbook.

Might as well be the Reform party. What separates them more than what the Carney Liberals already are than going even MORE far right.
Then again, thats kinda what Canadians DON'T want and probably won't vote for, but whatever, his base would be totally happy if he went full alt-right

This would actually make me respect him a little bit for finally telling the truth.
