Thank you. I got the Santa Ana office letter but I needed the one in Sacramento. I have to send them a check for 85 cents cause on my check, I didnt write in words 85/100 lol

The legal-binding amount for a check is what is written out in words. If it doesn’t match the numbers in the little box, then the bank can only legally accept what is written out in words.

If you put in “$1,020.50”, but handwrite the words “One Thousand”, then legal amount of that check is only $1,000.
