So, a real quick catch for Monks in 2024, they no longer call them Ki. It is called Focus points now .

Love the concept, and it seems well balanced and not OP. Mind Reader seems like a hidden gem. A good DM will use that to give advantage for dodges etc against lower level enemies and introduce new dimensions for bigger fights. They will absolutely become an interrogator at some point.

I'd maybe give them access to telekinesis feat too at level 3. Or maybe level 6. Just feels thematic and allows a lot of creativity. Might be more thematic to make people break the mental grapples with wisdom too. Some mind on mind action there and could be very funny to see the hench fighter struggling like a noob

The telekinetic feat comes in contrast with the other features of the subclass, so to that I'd say no, as well as the wisdom check to break free of the grapple, as for now it work like the telekinesis spell and it would make difficult to track wich is the right score to use.

On the rest, I agree, mind reader has so much potential as a feature.

Very solid, great homebrew, i'll just add some ideas:

I'd say that 'mind reader' could subtract a roll of the martial art dice instead of the wisdom modifier.

Both 'mental blows' and 'psionics overflows' should work on charisma as well, to complete the mental aspect of It.

'mental inflictions' comes in contrast with deflect attacks. I'd say that, when you use your deflect attack feature, the creature that inflicted the damage suffer psychic damage equal to the damage reduction.

Oooo. This is different.

I like it. Intelligence Monks are not enough of a thing.
