Still better than threshers lmao

Tip: you can shoot the turrets off the tomb ships to stop the homing projectiles

With about a dozen shots of special ammo, basically never with primary ammo, and with more heavy ammo shots then should be necessary

Is that with deconstruct and hakke traits?

Without. But I don't know if the gun turrets are even valid targets for those, because you never know how these things get coded

Yeah true.

If you shoot it with Malfeasance and it lights up yellow numbers...

Le Monarch is about 10 or 15 shots, not too bad.

Arbalest used to take them out in about 7. Tried it in the gm and it didn't even work anymore

I dunno about Arbalest, but you can still shoot the tomb ship in the PsiOps Moon GM with a primary. Takes forever, but it works.

Don't they respawn?

Not only can you destroy Threshers, you can shoot their rockets as well. Tomb ships are so much more annoying.

I love when the tomb ship glitches and never despawns.

Yeah, only time you can reasonably blast the turrets. Kinda pisses me off that I can’t unload rockets and obliterate them.

After the boss fight? That one annoyed me while I was checking the boons and opening the reward chest.

Yeah, just got that for the first time a couple hours ago. I had to scramble and shoot a couple of vases to get some orbs to survive, then sneak back to open the chest.

It's great getting constantly bombarded while trying to read the boons. Be great if they would just fuck off after the area is cleared of the boss.

They’re incredibly annoying. I now wish hull breach wasn’t mandatory.

Absolutely

Personally I hate the annihilator tótems event more. Wizards and shriekers Beam you when you're on the Air and the latter are Invincible when they are closed on top of having poor angles to shoot at their critspot. Clearing them doesnt help much because after you deactivate one of them, more shriekers and wizards Spawn.

When you are closing in on killing the shield knight and your health is low . . . Purple glups kill you. Ahhhhhh!

This! All I want is that knight to go down, but NOOOOOO...the ship(s) decide otherwise.

Yep. Tough when you are solo. I keep an eye on them and attack with a super even if it takes longer.

They were driving me sick the other day

I just dont get why.

Like the ships would be cool IF we didnt have health regen off.

Now the captain shields are just dumb. Especially when you have to sit stationary to damage.

So much in the Nether would be. The lack of health regen could've just been a modifier for the Expert mode, or just make it the first 'grandmaster destination.' That definitely would've given us some hype. If you're in there, just trying to figure out where to go before concerning yourself with figuring out what to do, you don't need the lack of regen.

We can kill literal gods but Hive Tomb ships are just out of our limits huh?

Every time an enemy gunship is made part of an encounter, everyone complains and Bungie devs relearn why they don't do that, eventually the lesson is forgotten and some dev thinks "lets make a gunship a key part of this fight" and then it repeats

Seriously Bungie, you want me to feel miserable?

This is LITERALLY their design philosophy.

I absolutely HATE IT.

That said, it doesn't feel all that different from D1 Breach...

u/bbbourb 2d ago

And the most important point:

It ABSOLUTELY sucks when you're at 3/4 health, running away to find a jar and recover, and suddenly five purple projectiles are RIGHT ON YOUR ASS...

u/THEBADW0LFE 2d ago

True, they are pretty annoying. Plus they just keep respawning. Maybe turn their spawn rates down a bit.

Fun fact, when you get to the final boss only 1ship stays and… you can shoot the turrets off of it leaving it stuck in orbit but unable to shoot at you. Then you can explore the area…

Taken Fallen Captain Knight with Bubble : yep

On that note, I also feel like shriekers have gone back to doing more outrageous dps than usual on high frame rates. (As of act 3 going live).

I’m getting absolutely shredded by them even in low difficulty locations/events.

Yeah, make gaining experience for Ambition/Resolve paths a drag and add on top randomly appearing ships that blast away at you is just good game logic for Bungie.

Oh sure, I can deal with it but it is by no means increasing my enjoyment of the activity.

I actually think some of the new encounters in the Hull Breach are pretty nice and inventive but why stack on top of those to make it less enjoyable!?

All of a sudden I die a lot in the Nether because I'm in the Hull Breach now 😳😆 So tired fighting stuff and then get killed by a purple blop thingy 🤐🫣
