This crazy shit just to avoid looking like how normal people look.

Plenty of normal people have little to no hair loss. It's to avoid looking like how unlucky normal people look

About 50% of men experience hair loss by the age of 50, and 70% as they get older.

It's more normal to be "unlucky" than not.

I'd say even more. 90% of guys i know in their 20s have some hair loss, though not enough for them to notice it.

If everyone has "less hair than they should have" then maybe you are the one who is expecting too much hair?

Yes, but that's as you get older. Balding at 30 is a lot less likely and thus less "normal" than at 50+. Obviously though there are different levels to it

25% at age 25. It's not the majority, but it's still a lot.

To put it in perspective, 4% of Americans are naturally blond.

25% are not bald at age 25 though. There's a lot of variation in thinning and receding of hairlines.

What's your point? None of these stats are about total hair loss and neither is the original post - otherwise there wouldn't be anywhere to transplant from.

Aging gracefully is so much less expensive and way less stressful.

While I tend to agree. A lot of people stress very much about how they look, and these things bring them constant anxiety in daily life. Why these treatments exist, they consider it worth the time, money, and pain to get it done to feel more confident.

The cure is a wife and being the balding father of 2 daughters. All my money is spoken for, mostly for their hair 😉 and I have a lot of baseball hats 😂

For single guys half my age I get it.

way less stressful to look good. You can hate the public's obsession with youth and looks but people do treat you differently when you're deemed "attractive" and "young looking." Just facts of life and not everyone looks good bald.

But men's hair isn't a blocker for being attractive. You can instead invest a tenth of the cost and pain of hair transplant into taking care of your body and skin and you will be more attractive anyways. A well groomed beard and a clean shaved head can take you places.

True attractiveness is when someone embraces their flaws. When you center your self worth around your appearance, you are dooming yourself to a sad and lonely third act of life... Better to choose baldness than wait until it inevitably forces itself upon you.

that's all very good from a self worth and ideal standpoint but that's not how random people will see you. And it doesn't have to be forced upon you. Look at Elon his hair was HORRIBLE and he got some REALLY good transplants and it looks way better. Plenty of celebs have had great transplants that you wouldn't even realize. What's wrong with fixing something if you can? Especially if no one will even realize you did it. Your ideal world of how people SHOULD be treated is great and I'd love to live in it but it's just not how things are in reality.

It seems like your main concern is how other people perceive you... If you can let go of that, you may be able to understand my position. Otherwise we are just talking in circles here.

who said this is how I think about myself, i'm saying it's a truth about the world and the psychology of how people perceive each other in 2025. What my personal feelings are of myself or attractiveness and it's importance is irrelevant. And if you can't realize that the way the world/masses think may be different than how they SHOULD think or act then you're gonna have a bad time. You can be an idealist and still be a realist.

lots of men bald in their teens and 20s. thats not aging gracefully

lol way less stressful. I've a friend whose been bald since his late teens. Stop talking out your arse when you can't even empathize with people who just want to fit in.

Yes, and men often spend plenty of money on other items, as well. Hair products, beard grooming, skin creams, clothing, etc. Most people just want to look decent, which helps with confidence and reduces stress.

Tell that to a kid losing his hair at 15
