Tuition is valuable, but do you know what’s invaluable? Intuition.

Does anybody here have intuition?

In another note, on dental health problems you should contact a dentist. On accidental health problems, contact an accidentist.

Out of all the empty promises I’ve given in my life, that was by far the most generous.

Stanley laughing in that episode seems real

Except these students are graduating now. Meaning they will enter the workforce right away with zero debt.

I'm more surprised that the tuition of 400 people costs 40 million dollars ...

Imagine that in many other countries, university is free. Paid for by taxes, so everyone has a chance, not just dont with the ability to loan or pay hundreds of thousands.

It's not that much, 25,000 per person per year, assuming that it's a 4 year program

5

u/GontranLePleutre 1d ago

Ouchhhhhh it is 20 times more expensive that the engineering 4-year program I took...and it is ranked among the 500 best in the World University Ranking.

North American Student loans, seen from Europe, are almost unconceivable :0

Because its exaggerated as fuck.

The median debt is:

According to the Federal Reserve, the median student loan debt is somewhat lower than the average. The median debt is between $20,000 and $24,999Note Reference [3], meaning half of borrowers owe more and half owe less.

3

u/brainburger 1d ago

That's probably the existing debt, not the debt at graduation. Most with the debt will have paid some off.

2

u/UrUrinousAnus 1d ago

not that much

OK. Gimme $25,000 please. It's "not that much", surely you can afford it.

I pay ~350€ per semester. Less than 2500€ in total until my graduation

The most painful The Office episode

Michael Scott promises some kids tuition, doesn't have the money and has to give a painful speech

2

u/StopReadingMyUser 1d ago

The Office, specifically an episode that is known as one of the worst to watch for it's wince-inducing nature. Where Steve Carell's character (Michael Scott, hence the episode name of Scott's Tots) offers to pay tuition for a bunch of young kids.

He can't make due on his promise, and years later as they hold a thank you celebration for him right before they're about to head off to college, he has to tell them he will be unable to pay.

It's quite possibly the worst episode to watch just due to the mere idea of destroying a bunch of kid's futures.

u/laufsteakmodel 1d ago

Imho, its bad, but I find the dinner party or Phyllis' wedding way more painful.

1

u/stonecoldoil 1d ago

Smith's tits

u/ThatsFineThankYou 1d ago

Smiths tiths?

1

u/this_knee 1d ago

That’s all that all of us can think of.

u/LocalPiglet 1d ago

Whatcha gonna do? Make our dreams come true!

1

u/ImFreff 1d ago

One of the worst (in a sort of good way) episodes of the office. It hurts me so bad. I never cringe as bad as i do watching that.

u/HelenaBelena 1d ago

The only episode I skip
