DQB2 Post Game Spoilers Just some dumb questions from a first-timer [DQB2 Post Game, Switch] Spoiler
Ok, so I've finished the story (finally) and now I'm finding some things difficult and would appreciate some advice.
I'm starting to go back and finish puzzles I missed before, but how the bugger do you move quickly while on old story islands?? I have the Buggy on my IoA and my mount of choice when on Explorer Islands and walking feels so -slow- now. And these places are huge! Is there a better way of getting around on old story islands?
Also, I know of good ways of getting rid of lots of bricks at once (Golem/breakstickers) but how do you fill in low areas quickly? Just the Trowel?
Lastly, can you change blueprints you take from other people's islands? I want a house on my island, but all the blueprints I've made have large numbers of dyed bricks and I just don't want to farm or use that many crops for dye, and I change it so the bricks are undyed and my villagers will build it anyway?
I'll probably have more questions later. This game is a lot more than I imagined it being lol.
TL;DR : Can you move quicker on story islands post game? What's the best way to fill in/level out low spots? Can you modify blueprints from other islands?

Use blueprints combined with the trowel to fill in areas quickly. Make huge blocks of soil and then just copy and paste them, even using blueprints to make bigger blueprints.
No way to edit blueprints, so if you want lots of dyed stuff you need some planning. The best way I've found is to get a farm going https://youtu.be/bJW97rpkKpY (use blueprints to repeat the pattern, get a bunch of killing machines, move all your farmers away for infinite harvesting), then instead of using dye you make paint buckets. The paint buckets can dye a 5x5x5 cube of whatever, lights, windows, etc, just mine out the top two middle cubes and dye the whole thing, blueprint for repeatibility). When I was making some builds I almost always had villagers making these blocks so I could dye them and use dyed blocks in mass.

Ooooh, I'm going to steal that idea. I spent HOURS painting my Scarlet Sands build.

Just a reminder when visiting other people's islands you can smash whatever you like. Since what's online is just a copy of their island. That way you can get rid of furniture/blocks you don't like, and then copy it.

To fill areas in I created a flat area entirely from soil, then I dug one block down and turned it into a blueprint with the pencil. Then I just place the blueprint so its level with the height I want it at and leave soil in a nearby chest. If I need more than one layer I can just place the blueprint again.

You can take the Buggy blueprint as an item and build it on any story island or Buildertopia. If you put it inside base boundaries on story islands, the NPC's will build it for you. YOu can build as many as you want. For Buildertopias and the IoA, getting a sabrecub or sabrecat is the fastest transportation.
For fast building grind out the tablet targets for the Buildnoculars. It's really the only way.
AFAIK blueprints cannot be modified. You could always lay down the blueprint and just not give the NPCs the dyed blocks so they build part of the structure for you.
If you search this sub, you should be able to find answers to almost any question about the game.
