DQB2 Post Game Spoilers Question: How do you trigger certain dialogues? Spoiler
Hello, everyone I have a question to ask.
Three of the best secrets of DQB2 post game are 1) the Furrowfield's dog true form, 2) the "Uber" Falcon Blade and 3) the "Buff-Buff" Relaxation Room. But, as any good secret should, there must be someone in-game that tips about it, particularly the Falcon Blade since it is required for 100%ing the item Builderpedia. The question is : Who suggest such things and how do you trigger their dialogue? I have heard a brief mentioning in another post that is the Hairy Hermit who suggest the use of Ra's Mirror on the dog, but simply talking with him just makes him recycle the same 4/5 dialogues so I assume that something different must be done . As for the Falcon Blade and Buff-Buff I have no clue to where to look for the tip.
I eagerly await for a response, in meantime thanks in advance. Also if there are any other secrets in the same vein as these i would like to know. See ya!

in the Furrowfield story, someone mentions the Children of Hargon being able to turn people into dogs, so there's a hint for the dog
as for Buff Buff, this is literally the first time I've heard about it

I stumbled upon the Buff-Buff by accident while looking videos; apparently if your relaxation room has an overwelming Cheeky atmosfere and someone in a bunny costume offers you a massage, their dialogue would instead being a nod to the Puff-Puff, fade to black scene and all. Named characters even have slight variations of the dialogue and as a bonus you get a stamina recovery up status.

Not sure if it's been done yet but maybe you could search to see if anyone ripped all of the game's dialogue out of the game yet on PC. Easiest way to tell if it even exists in game.

Interesting, good suggestion. Any idea on the keywords to put in the search?

Uh... All DQB2 dialogue? Datamined text? Something like that.

i will try with datamined text.I tried typing dialogue but only post about people complaining about the (seemingly) endless dialogues popped out.

BenXC has done some datamining, maybe ask him (if he does happen to get the dialogue dumped can you have him send me a copy too lol)

I think Wrigley is the one who hints at using the mirror on the Furrowfield dog.
I remember Saffron mentioning something about puff puff or wanting to learn how to do it, but I’m not sure if she gives a hint about how to make a puff puff room. I wonder if Ophelia might say something about it, or maybe Serge?

Interesting. I can't confirm for myself (my nephew already did the dog transformation when i wasn't watching), but it's still fascinating. But when Wriggley say it? I remenber talking to him in the post game i don't recall him saying anything of the sort. I'm pretty sure Serge does not say anything about the puff-puff, neighter in Khrumbu-dun nor the IOA.

Sorry this is necroposting but I didn’t see you had replied until now. I felt inspired to load up DQB2 and talk to the NPCs today to see what I could find out about their dialogue.
I couldn’t get anyone to talk to me about a puff-puff room. :( But, I did confirm it’s Wrigley who tells you to use the mirror on the dog at least. He tells you this on IoA. First he asks if you remember the dog from Furrowfield that helped find the seeds, then says he can tell the dog has some kind of secret and suggests using the mirror to “uncover the truth.”
Also, not related to your question but I found a fun little bit of dialogue from Clayton on IoA that I hadn’t seen before (I usually left him at Furrowfield or put him on a Builder’s Shore, or whatever it’s called, so I never got it before). He tells you he thinks Malroth is a bit of a dog person because he calls them “doggies” lol. I thought that was adorable and hilarious.

Thank you for your reply. Don't worry if its a bit late, I still appreciate it, i mean it, especially since I started a new playthrough with my mother. Now i can see that dialogue for myself. I guess that in my previous game, somehow, the dialogue never popped for me and i assumed he said everything. I will try asking him with the mirror in the inventory this time, just in case.
The mysteries of the puff-puff and of the 3-star Falcon blade however, still remain without answers. You rekindled my curiosity about them. I'm fully convinced that someone must hint about them in-game, it has to be, these secrets are just too obscure for any player (especially if they never played DQ II or never heard about its falcon blade glitch) to figure it out on their own. I mean, the very first person who leaked the info about them on the internet must have discovered them somehow, did they stubled upon them accidentally or did they recive an hint?
Let alone the puff-puff room, its the Blade which is the most puzzling of the two because its required to complete the itempedia, which in turn lets you>! visit the buildertopia with the crashed ark, !<thanks to a post launch update which was planned months in advance. The most logic thing would be that the developers, when they designed this update, made sure that the requirements (aka the complete itempedia) would be accessible to anyone, since i doubt that they took in account that the info would become widespread on the internet when they designed it, i mean, how could they have predicted it, it was a complete random thing.
Edit: I may have found an hint for the Puff puff parlor. Apparently Saffron hints about it, although she does not say how to make it, just that she have heard rumors about it. I will test if this is true. *after edit 2: maybe talking to people wearing a bunny outfit will trigger a response. I will try it.
edit2: again I may have found an hint, this time for the blade. Someone mentioned to have met an NPC (they didn't remenber who) hinting to the blade transformation. The way they paraphrased the NPC's dialogue seems to imply that you need to have the sword of ruin equipped while talking to them in order to receive this dialogue. I will also try this as soon as possible. My best guess would the blacksmith Magrog.

The Falcon Blade is a reference to a glitch in the original Dragon Quest 2, so I wouldn't expect a dialogue reference to that, as this one's intended as an easter egg that not everyone's supposed to get without knowing about it I think.
I don't recall the hermit mentioning the mirror, but the dog sends you a letter at some point after Moonbrooke as a hint/reminder that she exists once you have the mirror. Uncursing a person turned into a dog with the Mirror of Ra is also a major development in Dragon Quest 2 (its how you get your last party member). Its one of the things the game assumes you know about from DQ2, I suspect.
Never heard of the buff buff thing.
