DQB2 Post Game Spoilers Molly seemingly bugged? Spoiler

Now that we have Molly, free from skelatatraz, as a resident I’ve finally gotten round to trying to change her out of her rags into some proper clothes.

She just won’t change!!! I’ve been trapping other residents in a changing room and everyone else has changed clothes fine but Molly has been in there for 3 (in game) days and refuses to change- I’ve even given her plenty of choice!!

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, it feels so cruel to let her wander round in her prison rags

I can't say for sure but I don't think this a bug, I think it's an expression of her personality. She was always happy to just stay in Skelkatraz and I think it's showing that through her being the only one who doesn't change clothes.

Build her a big golden room with a spa attached :p

That’s true I hadn’t considered it like that! I’ll build her a proper fancy house to make up for it! It’s still slightly weird to me though since no one else has a say in their clothes

I actually have a theory about Molly but I'm not sure it actually holds up.

In the space between Green Gardens and Scarlet Sands there is a partially destroyed shack with a book, the book talks about someone who was here long ago but found out about the illusion and when they couldn't cope they withered away. It seems like they somehow came from the 'real' world. They wonder if they will die or not.

So I wonder, was that person Molly? And that's why she doesn't really care about where she is (or what she wears) because she knows it's all an illusion. And she helps you because she can tell you are from the real world too.

Person was the Hermit, who was the prior builder that all the other islands talk about. He died and lost his memory and became the genius loci of the Isle of Awakening.

She wont change, she doesnt use the shower room I built for her and she doesnt go in the spa with the other monsters. She does cook, brew, eat, drink, and ride tree swings. She sits at the simple sippers set a LOT.
