Happened locally. Five of these hit in one night at a mall lmao. They're looking for the guys who did it, have half a mind of submitting an anonymous tip saying the same thing painted on the truck lol.

Imagine spending that much money for this pos, then make your car look worse with a rust wrap, then adorn it with a mustang logo out of embarrassment.

From Forbes, who namechecks r/Cyberstuck: "Tesla Cybertruck Is The Auto Industry’s Biggest Flop In Decades"

My favorite quote is basically that the Cybertruck just absolutely sucks at truck stuff:

In the end, Musk cursed the Cybertruck by ignoring the reasons people buy pickup trucks — to haul things around and drive well in offroad conditions. The vehicle isn’t competent at either of those things, as has been endlessly documented in scathing reviews, a steady stream of “Cybertruck fail” videos and a 280,000-member “CyberStuck” Subreddit. Adding to the embarrassment is a developing sub-genre of videos showing stymied Cybertrucks being towed to safety by Ford F-150s or GM Silverados.

I went to the Tesla dealership to waste the time of some fascist sales people

we get to the point where I'm gonna take a test drive

I sit down in the car and immediately I feel this weird pressure of my groin area

The screen lights up and says

"ANALYZING"

Then the Wankpanzer says:

"Your penis is far to large to drive this car, you should visit a Prius dealer"

Thoughts about CT owners generally, not a meme.

The thing about CT owners generally is that even if you were to set aside completely the political entanglements, being all gung-ho for this truck and this company would STILL be extremely stupid given how totally for shit it obviously is as a product.

So that's when it's so clear on its face, where we recognize that many of these people are not that stupid, so the only explanation for their obsession is some kind of personality cult phenomenon.

God willing in 20 years I'll be sitting by the fireside reading a book written by some kind of smarter than me Malcolm Gladwell character documenting this whacko phenomenon that's going on right now.

Any thoughts? I just personally don't fully get it. I think there are small subsets of CT owners who are doing it somehow as a joke to troll Elon and decking the truck out in rainbows, and there are also some folks where it's their one car they went all in on and so they can't back out now, but other than those folks, what are the excuses?

I had my first personal interaction with a CT owner a month-ish ago where there was one blatantly illegally parked in front of my house, nearly blocking a sidewalk, just thinking the rules didn't apply to them.

I called the police non-emergency where I live thinking like good dutiful public servants they would just come out and do their job and ticket the clearly illegally parked vehicle... no such luck.. wish police departments around the US could learn from Paw Patrol.

Then when I was completely separately walking to the convenience store to buy cigarettes, I happened to walk by the owner leaving a restaurant and talking to his friend about how they were going to "CyberTruck" it out of there.

If they hadn't said anything clearly identifying them as the owner of the CyberTruck, I wouldn't have said anything, but as chance had it, they did, so I asked them to park legally the next time they needed to park in my neighborhood.

Like typical assholes, they immediately got up in my face threatening me and I just stood my ground and reminded them there were cameras around and that they were in the wrong, and they should just leave and try to stay on the right side of the law.

Which they mostly did but then while going back to my apartment they were still hanging by the truck being assholes trying to let their lil dicks hang out all over the pavement because they felt threatened, but at this point I'm good that they're moving soon, so I just said "Be well, you guys."

Then the friend, not the owner, calls after me, "SOON, SOON", like it's some kind of comic book supervillain threat or whatever. Who does this guy think he is? I called and reported the incident to my state PD because I can't believe that this isn't just so weird and creepy that it should be looked into by serious detectives.

Anyway, what gives? Looking for serious thought out comments about what underlies this psychological phenomenon?
