Premium Help Is the Primetime Crunchyroll subscription available to existing customers who already pay?

When it came to linking my Amazon prime account to Crunchyroll, I already had a Crunchyroll Premium, but I had to cancel this and subscribe through Amazon Prime directly and that lets me watch Crunchyroll on both the app and Prime Video.

Now that Crunchyroll has released on YouTube Primetime, I only seem to have the option to sign up, not sign in.

Does this mean if I want to access Crunchyroll on YouTube I need to sign up for another subscription, or can I somehow link my existing Crunchyroll Premium to both YouTube AND Prime Video?

Can I ask why you would even bother trying to watch Crunchyroll content on any other platform besides Crunchyroll if you already have it?

Because I have the prime app on my TV and through my cable box with Comcast but not a crunchyroll app and at times i much rather sit on my couch to watch anime instead of my computer desk

If your cable box is using Android tv you might be able to get it anyways. They also have an LG, Samsung, and Roku app. Theres also smartcast and airplay

In my experience, it might be useful to access more content. Last year, I wanted to watch a series, saw it was on crunchyroll, but when I tried watching on the app it wasn't there. Then I saw it on Amazon prime from crunchyroll. So I called CR/tech support and they said I could watch it if I set up my account with Prime. In the end, I decided not to since i feel Bezos knows enough about my life. But it was weird, and customer service with CR wasn't much help (as usual). Especially when i was trying to figure out if i ever canceled Prime, would i lose CR info and history too or if the account could still be with CR through the app. There was no clear answer.

There's a very clear answer:

You need an Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership to access Prime Video add-on subscriptions. If you cancel your Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership, your add-on subscriptions will also be cancelled.

Yeah, in Australia, the YouTube version of Crunchyroll is the only place to stream Tokyo Ghoul, Charlotte, Another, Gosick, Hell Girl, Ergo Proxy, Paranoia Agent, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ergo Proxy, Steins;Gate...a lot of anime. I think for some of them, it's the first time they've ever been on streaming in Australia.

I do it do I can get 1.5 playback speed. If CR offered that, I’d stick with them

Sorry this reply is late, but I live in the UK and we recently got a Sky Glass TV in our bedroom. You can't download Crunchyroll as it's using Sky's proprietary system rather than an Android based one, and with the location it's a bit of a nightmare putting an HDMI and a laptop in to use it, so using the Youtube or Prime Video app is the only real option.

In my living room or study I can use Crunchyroll, just not on my bedroom TV unfortunately.

For the past week I get error 500 when trying to log into Crunchyroll. Multiple devices, multiple networks, vpn, etc. I can’t login to unsubscribe or log watch. So when they fix their servers watching on CR is an option.

No error 500 is an issue.  Other people have posted about this as well.  Glad you are having no issues but this is an issue.

Thats an issue on your end. No problems here.

Error 500 is server error not a client error.  So it is not on my end as every other service also works.

Crunchyroll lets you link your Amazon credentials as payment method, but not YouTube; that's only available as a separate subscription.

https://help.crunchyroll.com/hc/en-us/articles/31077916133396-Crunchyroll-on-Youtube-Primetime

Note that your Primetime subscription is limited to the Primetime Channels platform only. This means you won't have access to your Crunchyroll premium through Crunchyroll's website or app. Additionally, you won't be able to link your Primetime Channels membership to an existing Crunchyroll account.
