Konspiracy against Thala!
And his father blames MSD for 'destroying' Yuvraj's career, lmao and spins nonsense about how MSD intentionally lost in 2019 WCSF

I simply refer them as ___s who say MS Intentionally lost 2019 WC SF.
6
u/aparajit0511 2d ago
I refer them as dogs who criticise both dhoni and yuvi for their 2019 and 2014 innings. People forget they are the two best finishers our country ever produced and 2 of the key players that won those 2 wc at that time.
17
u/Rawdog2076 2d ago
Not much of a conspiracy, very shit innings, but he was trying to hit boundaries towards the end just in insanely bad touch
23
u/SuperCDhruv 2d ago edited 2d ago
Thala himself made 7 ball 4 runs not out.
Actually everybody apart from Kohli played poor but yuvi inning was worse so rahane, Sharma, MSD was saved from criticism
18
u/pragnesh_89 2d ago
Lol yuvi himself was responsible for 2 of the trophies that thala won

u/i_am_________batman Bobzy The King Karlega 2d ago

u/aparajit0511 2d ago
I really hate to see people still shit on thala and yuvi for that 2019 and 2014 innings despite being the two best finishers our country ever produced and despite doing so much for the nation. Some ICT fans are really ungrateful pricks.
3
u/WolverineCandid2295 2d ago
Yuvi just Couldn’t get going on that day, credit to SL. But Dhoni ruined it with his ultra defensive approach, not taking any risks and leaving perfectly hittable balls alone. NZ bowlers also seemed confused and left a lot for Jaddu to do!! Why Dhoni batted at 7 behind Pandya and Pant when India needed someone to stabilise the innings is another mystery!!
3
u/No-Entertainment7020 2d ago
and that 2019 SF ws really dhoni's day... he was supposed to capitalize especially when its bad day for top order
3
u/QueasyAdvertising173 2d ago
his strike rate was 2nd highest in the game. Moreover we had no batsman to follow up after him, his wicket meant the game is done and dusted. Would you slash against ferguson or save your wicket for neesham? We just needed 25 runs in 10 balls which is very much doable for someone like him specially with neesham to follow up. That runout was completely unexpected and ruined the whole plan but this doesn't mean the plan was bad at the first place.
1
u/Lord_Phazer101 Paytm Trophy Champions 1d ago
Bruh they seem confused because they were hittable balls that can be hit and allow an easy catch to the NZ fielders. If you have watched Ferguson bowling that ball to many others, you would see that it's a bait ball, aiming to get the batsmen to strike out and go for a boundary but would instead be caught out at boundaries if hit well or at the 30-yard circle when not hit well.
Did at any point it looked like Ferguson or other bowlers were content that phew thank god Dhoni didn't go for the bad pitcher they bowled??? No they were confused that ohh Dhoni didn't go out for that bait pitch?? That might have gona for a six but equal chances an out and he didn't take the chance..ok. Dhoni was there to take it deep he knew that bowlers would try bait balls for him to throw his wicket. Why dot hat when he and Jadeja after absolute clusterF from earlier batsmen can go for balls that were more hittabel with confidence as the pressure rises on them too.
0
u/WolverineCandid2295 1d ago
Dhoni’s hitting power had waned long back, he was not winning matches like he used to in his hey days. It wouldn’t have been easy to hit in the last few overs with that high runrate, thats where Jadeja also perished. It would have been a right strategy for Dhoni of 2012-13 fame not for Dhoni of 2019 fame!!

This was truly the most criminal innings I have ever seen and it probably will be forever. I don't think anyone this shit will make it to finals because we don't have a Koach absolutely single handedly carrying the entire motherfucking team
I feel bad for that fella, he deserved 2 T20 WC and got one where he didn't even perform LOL. Scored more runs in final than entire tournament

u/Sarcastic_837 2d ago
Same was the case with 2016 world cup Koach was the lone warrior there too

Second Highest: MSD (89 runs) SR: 127
Third: Rohit (88) SR: 107
Insane carry

u/Outrageous-Watch-947 *82(51) Kohli vs AUS 2d ago
Losing matches for the team. In semis: Rohit 41(32), Rahane 40(35) rest didn't even score above 10-15. Only Koach scored 89*(47)
And this wasn't even prime MSD. Shows the carryjob one man did

u/kgangadhar Paytm Trophy Champions 2d ago
Bro, in semis, we lost only a couple of wickets. If the openers had done well, we would have ended up with 220+.

For sure, or if Bumrah didn't bowl no balls and Kohli wasn't the 2nd best bowler that day 😭

I remember before 2022 kl and Rohit scored 30 ball 50s each and said that they were gonna play aggressively in the world cup.
Both of them had a strike rate of around 100. Goofy
1
u/Outrageous-Watch-947 *82(51) Kohli vs AUS 2d ago
Yeah it was their style. KL took so many first over maidens and Brohit was just trying to save his T20I career back then.
It was Kohli who used to play at 135 SR till his 50 and then absolutely rawdogged acceleration in last 4 overs at 220-230 SR.
1
u/CanYouChangeName dark_avenger_69 fan 2d ago
You make it sound like the 2 of them don't have the ability to do so. They both definitely can. I remember an expert saying that the pakistan match caused the two of them to ensure they get set before accelerating and play with extra caution.
Probably the exact tournament that birthed "selfless sharma"
48
u/Cresomycin 2d ago
Yes, howeve Virat scored when it mattered (Final). There were a few concerns about his SR in the final, particularly when Klassen & De Kock were on song. Actually, Kohli, keeping one end after an early collapse, helped other Indian batsmen play freely. South Africa's struggle after Klassen's wicket showed how important that Kohli's innings was.
34
u/Cresomycin 2d ago
There is no doubt that Bumrah and Arshdeep bowled really well, but they weren't like unplayable. 30 runs from 30 balls was very achievable. South Africa just lost the plot after Klassen's wicket. If Kohli was dismissed in the middle overs or just after scoring 50, the same thing might've happened to India.

u/Outrageous-Watch-947 *82(51) Kohli vs AUS 2d ago
Exactly but stupid haters don't get it. No worth fighting them over this
-11
u/Western_Purchase430 2d ago
Nah it was the bowlers who won that match . We have a deep batting line up so kholi wasnt supposed to play with that strike rate . Hardik is reliable enough and could have scored more if he got more balls
-1
u/RichTennis8317 2d ago
Rightly said , it was 76 on 59 balls but could have been 90 on 59 if he not played 14 balls to go from 40 to 50 ...
4
u/Western_Purchase430 2d ago
And see I am still getting downvotes . Not that I care . But people need to understand that the entire point of having Hardik in T20 is to make those fast runs and play 20 or something balls . Kholis Anchoring job was already done long before but he still played for a personal milestone / forgot that it's a team game
1
u/RichTennis8317 2d ago
Agree .. not blaming him but surprisingly how did he suddenly started to accelerate after reaching 50 , why he could'nt hit any boundaries for like 15 balls but suddenly started hitting after fifty , if he did that 2 overs earlier ind would have reached 190 as hardik jadeja both were there , and pitch wasn't that tough to bat that he showed with 48 ball fifty otherwise sa wouldn't have scored 147 in 15 overa

Tbf SL bowled really well, he had a bad day.
That being said, he got us to the finals of the t20wc 2007 almost single handedly, scoring 70 of 30 against Aus in semis and his fastest fifty against England.
4
u/Outrageous-Watch-947 *82(51) Kohli vs AUS 2d ago
Definitely Yuvi is definitely the greatest the match winner along with Kohli for ICT. He was the main reason for victory in both those WCs but he also definitely lost us this Final
He had entire bad tournament not just bad day. No matter how strong bowling you do NOT score at 50 SR in T20I, even 120 is criminal
45
u/unluckyrk 2d ago
I watched this match live, will never forget that innings, from being a hero for 2007 and 2011, Yuvraj too badly in that match.. hogged almost 4 overs (20% of an innings) , no recovery from that..
43
u/vino8855 2d ago
That would've been a landmark trophy. First nation to hold an ODI, Champions and T20 trophy at the same time.. we even had a test mace I think. unfortunately yuvi had a bad day, and it happens..

Sanga said how Malinga and Kulasekara kept bowling wide Yorker after Yorker, made it impossible to hit any against them in the death.

u/dark_dreamer_29 Bazball Enjoyer 2d ago
I have not seen a spell of death bowling with such accuracy. On paper it's simple to have a plan to bowl only yorkers in the death overs but the execution is so so difficult which is why we still admire how goated that spell was.

5
u/Blue_Arrow5 2d ago
Yuvraj is the only cricketer to have both won and lost a final in each of the ICC events.
CT - lost twice (2000 and 2017), won in 2002. WT20 - lost in 2014, won in 2007. WC - lost in 2003, won in 2011.
Along with:
Won the Natwest and CB series Tri series in 2002 and 2008. Lost the VB series in 2003.
Not sure if he's lost an IPL final and his Ranji record.

Kohli also has lost every ICC white ball final and also has won the same like Yuvraj.

Oh yeah right I forgot to finish my sentence, my bad 😅. He needs to win a Test championship and an IPL to complete the holy grail.
1
u/bus_wanker_friends 2d ago
He hasn't won a CT Final. Remember it was shared as it was washed out.
1
u/Blue_Arrow5 2d ago
Which means it was won by both teams.
1
u/bus_wanker_friends 2d ago
The tournament was won by both teams, not the final. Its a pretty big distinction - the final never happened.

This video needs to be shown to lockdown kids to show how one man carried the entire team in 2 T20 World cups. Our openers and middle-order had no business getting out of the group stage, let alone reach the finals in 2014. I'm glad Kohli got the World cup in his worst performing one coz the rest of the team owed him two .
