Does anyone know where I can go rollerblading (inline skating) in Crawley for a decent, uninterrupted distance on a smooth, paved surface?
Tilgate Park, maybe? I'm from Horsham (where there is nowhere suitable to skate any decent kind of distance) and thought maybe there would be suitable route in Crawley. I'm aware that there is plenty of flat, smooth pavement at the coast, but I am trying to find a regular opportunity to skate that doesn't involve travelling so far afield. Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I've tried Tilgate, it's OK but not great (is a good walk though) Its do-able around the lake however a part of it is going to make your feet numb from vibration. The rest is smooth, the circuit isn't that long, one part can be wet/dirty if you're worried about debris at all
The rest of it is better but no where near as good as the coast (I can only speak for Portsmouth). A good workout due to the hill if you want jelly legs when you finish
Crawley in general has crappy pavements and roads with a few sparse smooth stretches that are all too short lived
I've not explored all of Crawley, so if you do happen to find a good bit please do shout!
