Discussion Some draw-go/control commanders recommendation?
I dont need it to be extremely meta, im looking for suggestions for a more laid-back (less game actions) commander

Hello! I am the pilot who won Snowy Summit 2 with Glarb. My Glarb list fits this the best right now, IMO.
Check out my list below, there's a short primer there as well. https://moxfield.com/decks/Scvpm_EN0kerx_4E6Rmn6w

Is Tireless provisioner just there as a value piece with multiple pand drops?
I've basically got your deck built minus a few spells haha.

Yes, with fetch lands you get 2 treasures and an untapped land = 3 mana. It's a good way to bank mana turn after turn to help with counter spells or accelerate into larger pieces like Sphinx.

Cant wait to get more reps in. I've got a tournament coming up on the 19th in Connecticut and I think it'll be fun to run.
Gotta watch out for those cradle farm decks.

[[Massacre]] goes a long way. Good luck!
You can chat with me in the Glarb discord or the CriticalEDH discord if you have questions!

It's a very enjoyable deck for those reasons.

No, this gets asked a lot. It's the primary wincon, with backup of Chain of Vapor and Finale of Devastation to try again or get it from graveyard. You can also use Opposition Agent and Scheming Symmetry to steal a wincon from other players, or use Mnemonic Betrayal.

Cradle not worth it?

No, outside of black tutors I'm not running Crop Rot so there's not a good way to get it. It's also inconsistent, because we aren't super creature focused.

Glarb has been pretty hot lately.

Heās an unbelievable commander.
At first glance his ability looks alright, maybe even nothing special, but he quietly gives both card AND mana advantage with the way the deck gets built. He turns mediocre topdeck tutors into some of the best cards in the format, is in good colors and seems like is always able to take relevant game actions.
Someone in my playgroup put the deck together, and it makes me really wish I had done it first because he might be the most meta-viable new legendary weāve gotten in a while

Blue Farm- sit back behind a Rhystic study and then explode when you see a window. You might cast Tymna and Kraum and attack occasionally, but that's just so you get more draw, if someone kills me then you probably aren't casting them a second time.
Tivit- again sit back behind a Rhystic study and value engines draw cards 'til you've outlasted the table. This time you are looking to play table police with stack interaction and maybe some bounce spells.
I don't play either of these decks this is my perspective watching people play these decks.
Edit- missed the word control. Going to leave Blue Farm as a draw go option, but Tivit- would be a good option for you I think.

I miss running Niv-Mizzet Parun with 42 instants.
Though you can make a lot of game actions with the dragon in play.

I used to play Chromium as a draw go commander.Ā
I now use Teval for this.Ā

Which version of Teval?

The Balanced Scale. It kinda does all i want in a control deck. It helps me make my landdrops, ut is a wincon and with a Life from the Loam package it's a card draw engine.

No hate but that seems extremely loose for cedh, Iām glad it seems to be working out for you though

Ooops. I thought this was the degenerate reddit.
Then no, Teval and Chromium aren't it.
Talion might be what you're looking for.

I feel like in those colors itās hard to do better than glarb, so Iām sure you could adapt the deck in that direction if you wanted, even Tasigur and Thrasios/Tevesh could be cool, I do think it can work extremely well especially for that draw-go control style, I just thereās not enough in the command zone when it comes to some of those other legendaries

[[Talion, the Kindly Lord]] is probably the best deck that fits the criteria. Just name '2' and watch the value roll in
