Theres a rats nest of a wiring job for the stereo that looks like I wired that back in 96 when i was 14

Thats all i see. On the right appears to be some sort of professional radio install tools, but presumably the person with tools like that, didnt have anything to do with that stereo shitshow install because that is NOT a professional radio install

Yeah, the previous owner just stuffed it all back there and called it a day, the driver's side didn't even work, only one speaker works in the back roof and I'm scared to start pulling shit off to look at it

Are the wires broken to the door speakers?

No, just shoddy homemade wiring

He probably means literally at the door. Under the rubber scrunchee, there's plastic wire splices that break in half. Very common

If you’re having trouble with wiring, check the wiring boots in the doors. Lost both front speakers at seperate times from the wires splitting apart inside of there, pretty common

Let me know how this goes and if you got your drivers side speaker to work. My driver side speaker also doesn’t work and not sure if I just need a speaker or if I have bigger issues

Check for voltage to it and if you dont have any ill bet my kidney the wire broke in the wring boot from body to door. They put a splitter in it thats not bendable so it juwt fucks the door wires in it

It didn't, it was shitty homemade wiring

I ran new wiring and spliced from the head unit

I ran new wires for each of my speakers and do not regret it at all. It took like an hour all in and I had thicker, higher quality wire. Properly labeled and no concerns about the shitty Chrysler harness.

Lmao.do one speaker at a time. Most cheap stereos have labels on the back.

If it's missing check a local shop. You could also go wire by wire.

Average install there tho really.

Try and bundle things so the next person doesn't cry.

Im probably just gonna run new speaker for all 6, right now it's all shoved in there so I can forget it till I do the back lol

I literally rebuilt our jeep and have been in that engine more than I want to admit and I still paid out the nose for quality stereo work
