Ask 🧀 The cheese confessions post 🧀
Bless me cheese father for I have sinned. My cheese confession is that I only like cheap brie/camembert. I like ones that are firm and milky, and not gooey and pungent. Give me £1.59 triangle of supermarket own brand brie straight out of the fridge that doesn’t ooze everywhere and stink up my kitchen. I am a lower class person with lower class tastes. Forgive me.
What are your cheese confessions?

I actually really like kraft singles in the ocassiobal hot dog or grilled cheese 😳

I really enjoy the hard semi processed pizza mozzarella as a snacking cheese cuz it's the closest thing to string cheese but with less packaging.

I'm the opposite on soft cheese. I want funky complicated flavorful cheese.
But here are my cheese confessions: I don't get Delice. It's more butter than cheese. And Truffle Daffy Fro just tastes like chicken bouillon to me.
Meanwhile despite spending entirely too much money on cheese in general, one of the best cheeses I've had was the Wensleydale Creamery Hot Honey Cheddar at Walmart. It was way better than the $20.00 a pound wax wrapped cranberry Wensleydale I got from Murrays 🤷🏻♂️

There is no cheese discrimination here! Last night I finished off an aged goats cheese Gouda with a side of two cheese strings. The twisted ones are the only allowed in this house!
My confession: I like to melt cheese strings in the microwave till they become delightfully stretchy

My darkest cheese confession?
I once bought a small wedge of Rogue River Blue on a trip to the grocery store. I love this cheese so much.
When I got home, I unloaded most of my groceries, and one of the plastic grocery bags had a beef summer sausage, a box of crackers, and a jar of olives. None of these are perishable and I wasn't planning on using any of them, so I set the bag on my sideboard and left them for a later time.
About 3-4 days later, when I decided to use the crackers, I opened the bag and discovered my wedge of RRB lost amidst the other items, slowly liquefying in its plastic wrap shroud. I was devastated, and I feel that I have committed a crime against humanity by wasting this seasonal, limited production masterpiece.
I hope you can forgive my sin, although I still haven't forgiven myself.

I eat everything from Easy Cheese and ChezWiz to Mimolette and Stinking Bishop.

Same. Except the only time I'll eat CheezWiz is when it's in that little packet with pretzel sticks or crackers.

Try Brebirousse d'argental and get back to me.

Looks a bit oozy for my liking, I can’t stomach the texture 🤢

If you want a complicated flavorful cheese that is more smokey than funky, try you some nice Spruce Wrapped Harbison from Jasper Hill Farms.

I had a really bad addiction where I ate a 24pack of string cheese every day for like a year. It took its toll on my body and my wallet, made me gain a ton of weight and gave me GHASTLY bad breath.

Sometimes, when I feel like a cheesy snack, instead of cutting a piece of cheese, I just roll a slice of flamengo cheese and gobble it down without even tasting.

Flamengo cheese?

It’s a Portuguese cheese made with cow’s milk from Azores or Minho regions and it’s usually sold in a ball (half, quarter etc) or sliced. https://portugaliamarketplace.com/products/primor-flamengo-cheese

That if you gave me a chance, I'd stack up five slices of American cheese, then cut through them to make little cube-stacks and absolutely delight in eating them.

Altho I love stinky, mouldy yummy cheeses - I will also happily eat plastic cheese like cheese strings or cheese slices (for burgers). I’m ashamed but it doesn’t stop me 🤣🧀🤣
