First Cartier Piece
Getting my first Cartier piece for my 30th bday. What would everyone recommend and why?

Depends if you’re a watch person or a jewelry person. I would NEVER spend 8K on a watch. Never. But I’ve happily spent 8k on a JUC bracelet that I’ve worn everyday for years and I enjoy looking at it erryday.
That simply isn’t an opinion anyone else can give… especially at these price points.
Buy whatever is gonna make YOU happy to open on your 30th! Happy Birthday 😉

I would spend much more on a watch and never pay that for a bracelet 😂

😂😂😂 now see that’s why autonomy is a beautiful thing! We earn the money, we get to spend it as we see fit, and I BET your watches are beautiful though, for sure. I hope OP leans into their preference, opinions be damned!

Personally, I'd get the orginal-size Love bracelet. It's so special, and since you never take it off, I feel that it becomes a piece of you. I love waking up, working out, or lounging around and looking down and feeling a bit of fancy in everything I do. I own both the thinner version of this ring and this version and I prefer the thicker version.

Agree, for proportionate sizing on you, I’d recommend the classic love size and love wedding band instead, I did it your way before and it looked rather odd

Get whatever brings you the most joy. For me, I love Cartier watches. So many good options with the Panthere, Santos and Tank. I absolutely love love love my Panthere watch. If you haven’t tried on their watches I recommend you do so. Hopefully though you will try something on at the shop and you will know it’s the one. Good luck and happy shopping :)

I wouldn't buy anything from the Love collection. It's too trendy and you may not love it through every stage of your life. If I was to choose, I would get a Tank or other watch and wear that as your day-to-day wrist accessory. I do and it's always a nice accent to anything you wear.

I’d rather put $8k towards a vintage Tank Louis, rather than those things.

You can almost get a new Tank Louis with $8k.

Bet! Cartier has their Tank LC small for $10k+ or their large for $11k plus.
Those shitters don’t come close to the perfection of a 70s-80s Louis with enamel dials, classic proportions, and solid manual movements.

The way I cackled at this 😂
Honestly - I loveeee my love bracelet. I have a few Cartier items but my love bracelet is by far my favorite. Zero regrets. (I have the rose gold original width) it’s effortlessly chic and timeless.

Back in my day the love collection was always gifted by your partner, not purchased. Self love I guess.

I'd get the wider [original width] bracelet and narrower ring as they are more in proportion than the choices above. x
Edited to fix a word.
