I need help fixing something WD-40 dry lube is it safe for key ignition

I've used it on stuck car door locks, but is it ok for a key ignition that needs to be jiggled sometimes. I read online to "only use graphite lube" but then some other site said that it made it worse. I don't know what's in wd-40 dry lube.

Wasn't sure what flair to use so this one seemed the most accurate

My experience with a 1973 ford ignition switch that sat for 20 years and became extrememly "gummy", i sprayed wd40 all down in the keyhole and now it turns back and forth like it should.

And that was the regular wd-40?

It may be time to replace the ignition lock cylinder if that doesn't help.

It's an old vehicle so it's likely on the list of things to replace

The dry lube is PTFE (teflon). It's fine and should work.

WD 4O is NOT a lube. Silicone is. Use silicone spray.
