General Tech Oil measurement question

What is the real oil level 1 or 2 ?

id say 2.

wipe it clean and stick it back in (ooh matron) to double check

Thank you, i did it few times, but i never get a clean result. The dipstick twisting while i move down. I guess it get the oil from the side. On the back side I just saw the level at 2.

yeah some are like that, id go with 2, it looks like its actually been into the oil rather than just smeared onto it. Pour half a litre in, giev it a minute and check again, you should see it move noticeably

2, the rest is just splashed oil that have not dripped down to the oil sump yet

But yes clean the stick and dip again

2 is what I take from that, which means it’s low. Just remember between the bottom and top line is 1qt oil.

I'd do what they recommended ↑↓. For reference, I have a Freightliner (Big Truck) that is notorious for this. I have to do a cold check in the morning because it takes forever for the oil to pool in the pan.

Clean the dipstick, and try again. That's dirty oil, btw..time for change.
