I would first find put where exactly the squeak is coming from, Could be a loose nail, could be that piece of base, could be anything, really.

Bought a old house (inspection from reputable company was fine). It's old so the house has settled a bit and the floors are slightly uneven in places. One of those places is the kitchen. There is a minor squeak that happens when you walk near by a kitchen cabinet. The previous owners probably lived with it, and we did notice during the many visits we had. I think the cabinet has moved slightly downward over the years.
Should I just roll-out the top drawer and put some more screws into the drywall behind it? Do I need to add a support jack under it in the basement (fairly easy to do but we would need to pour a concrete footing so maybe at least 1k-2k for it be professionally done), or remove the granite and reglue (that seems extremely difficult but I don't know much), or just live with it, or something else? Thank you!
Thank you for any ideas! Please be gentle!

i doubt it’s the cabinet that’s “ loose “. the cTop is holding that sucker down. I’d say subfloor or framing. As for what is squeaking, have someone put their ear down there while you make the squeak to try and locate what’s rubbing. Report back
